Abstract: Cerebral palsy causes physical and functional changes including hemiparesis. Bracing is a
widely used feature in children with CP; it aims to improve the alignment of peripheral joints,
prevent joint deformities and optimize space-time aspects. Objective: To observe possible
changes in walking parameters, with and without AFO use in MMII. Materials and methods:
This is a case report involving a child with a hemiparesis-type PC. A GoPro Hero4 was used
to shoot the gait with and without AFO, the images were analyzed by the CVMOB and
compared the two moments for analysis of possible changes in speed, pitch length and
cadence. Project was approved by the CEP with CAEE of 82972217.9.0000.5628 according
to Law 466/2012. Results: The AFO prescription for children with spastic hemiparesis-type
PCs may influence spatiotemporal aspects. The use of the device increased pitch length
however decreased speed and cadence. Conclusion: The results showed that AFO
influences the spatiotemporal aspects of gait of the hemiparetic child due to PC sequel but
new studies involving a larger number of participants are needed to increase the results2018-06-26T00:00:00ZEstratégias de enfrentamento da família de uma criança com diagnóstico de hipospádia: relato de casohttp://104.156.251.59:8080/jspui/handle/prefix/16582020-08-06T13:59:16Z2020-06-01T00:00:00ZTitle: Estratégias de enfrentamento da família de uma criança com diagnóstico de hipospádia: relato de caso
Abstract: Introduction: Hypospadias is the most frequent congenital malformation of the male external genitalia, characterized by the abnormal opening of the urethral meatus location, with the news of this deformith, a rupture in the idealization of motherhood can occur, generating conflicting feelings in the mother. Objective: To know the coping strategies developed by the family of a child diagnosed with hypospadias. Methodological Strategy: Descriptive study with a qualitative approach to the type of case report of a the case report. The data were collected using a form with sociodemographic questions to identify the child and the informants through a semi-structured interview, with parents and paternal
grandparents, the method of analysis was from the perspective of minayo, the project was accepted by CAAE 15345619.2.0000.5628. Results: Participants were between 31 and 65 years old, all with marital status declared married. As for the interviewees' occupation, parents declared themselves formal workers and grandparents retired. Regarding the child's health conditions, the interviewees reported a malformation discovered at birth, after analysi three categories emerged: moment of diagnosis, coping modes and future expectations Final considerations: In this study they intend to contribute to the expansion of knowledge about the family experience resulting in the discovery of an unexpected malformation in the child.2020-06-01T00:00:00ZImpacto da traqueostomia no tempo de ventilação mecânica invasiva em pacientes adultos: revisão narrativahttp://104.156.251.59:8080/jspui/handle/prefix/16362020-08-07T19:26:29Z2020-06-01T00:00:00ZTitle: Impacto da traqueostomia no tempo de ventilação mecânica invasiva em pacientes adultos: revisão narrativa
Abstract: Introduction:Part of the patients who are under the use of IMV, due to their critical clinical condition, need more time under the use of ventilation, whichiscalledExtendedMechanical Ventilation (PMV). However,
thislonger time under MV can cause severalcomplications. Therefore, it ispossiblethattracheostomyis a
viableoption for reducingthe time of mechanicalventilation. Objective:
Standardizeliteraryknowledgeabouttheimpact of tracheostomyonthe time of
invasivemechanicalventilation in adultpatients.Matherials and Methods:Anarrative review was carried
out involvingstudiesthatrelatedtracheostomy in patientsoninvasivemechanicalventilation and mortality
with bibliographicsurvey in thedatabasesPubMed, LILACS and SciELO, in English and Portuguese.
The survey was carried out fromMarch 2020 toApril 2020. The descriptorsusedwere "tracheostomy", ""
ventilationmechanicalinvasive "; and its descriptors in Portuguese: traqueostomia, ventilação
mecânica invasiva. Results:The selectedarticlesreferredtopublications in Portuguese and
Englishaccordingtothedescriptorsused. The publications in Portuguesetotaled 28 articles, twelve in
English and none in anotherlanguage. The period of publication was between 1999 and 2019, with
theoldestarticlesbeingusedonly for theconceptualpart of thestudy. Afterreading and
writingtheselectedarticles, only 12 madeupthestudy for presentingtheinformation and

conditionthatusuallyrequires a longerperiod of mechanicalventilation, it isfeasible for
healthprofessionalstoapplytracheostomyearly as a waytoreducethe VM time and

Abstract: Advanced age is related to changes in motivation, manual dexterity, mobility, lucidity and existence of associated diseases, which are factors that may be responsible for urinary incontinence. Objective: Estimate the prevalence of urinary incontinence in elderly nuns living in a convent. Material and Methods: This is a cross-sectional study with elderly women of at least 60 years of age, lucid and oriented, with urinary complaints. Primary data were used and the research instruments included a sociodemographic questionnaire, the Mental State Mini-Exam (MMSE) and the International Consultation on Incontinence Questionnaire - Short Form (ICIQ-SF). Results: With respect to comorbidities, the most significant association was hypertension, osteoporosis and intestinal constipation, and it was evidenced that the existence of UI and its relation with quality of life was not significant. Already diabetes mellitus, stroke, depression, Parkinson's disease and bladder cancer were not very significant. It was observed that the frequency of intestinal constipation was associated when related to UI and similar to that found in the literature. Final considerations: However, the presence of urinary incontinence greatly interferes with the quality of life, and therefore contributes to possible psychological and physical alterations2019-06-17T00:00:00Z
