O crescimento de Feira de Santana e o papel do Parque da Cidade nas transformações dos bairros do seu entorno

Abstract

The dissertation analyzes the production of urban space of Feira de Santana and the role of public space Park City Friar José Monteiro in the transformation of neighborhoods of its surroundings. For this, we used descriptive research, through analytical-interpretive-deductive method, using standardized techniques in data collection, such as interviews with institutions, associations, departments of the municipal government, real estate agents, residents and park users, and systematic observation site, as well as cartographic and statistical surveys. Thus, we observe, record, analyze, classify, and interpret the data collected. The goal of this research is whether there was a direct or indirect influence of Parque da Cidade urban transformations of that district from 2007 to 2014. Results showed that joining factors such as allotments, the deployment of the Centro Industrial Subaé (CIS) the deployment of Parque da Cidade and the Programa Minha Casa Minha Vida (PMCMV) led an urban and commercial development in the neighborhood Tomba as the surrounding neighborhoods and the Aviário and the Subaé. It was concluded that the Parque da Cidade came from an independent urban design master plan of the city and the local society gave him most representative interpretations in terms of elements and references, transforming the space into a public space with determinant for local ownership.
