Resumo: Inserted into the Family Research in the Social Sciences online, this dissertation aims to examine family relationships and migrating from a case study of a Brazilian, black, semianalfabeta and international migrant woman, who left having Cabuçu by destination France. This research is justified as it has an element of transnationalism and intersections of categories, such as family, migration and human rights, especially for the case study. For such an approach, based on content analysis, from source documents, primary and secondary was used, valuing greatly in production and archive egodocumentos and media representations about the case. On the analysis of family migration and relations, it was found that "DS" reproduced the original papers relating to his family, as well as in new families formed by it, even when its status as an international migrant who, experiencing feelings of transnationalization not untied the knot with his family roots, although laced other nodes. This work was divided into three major phases: 1) the first locus Family social actor; 2) Insert x Integration: Challenges for international migration "DS"; and 3) Human Rights Media x
