Abstract

The right to health is present in the Federal Constitution, as far as social rights are concerned, which should be up to all individuals, even those who have their freedom curtailed. The aim of this study is to verify how the disregard for health has taken place in relation to the issues of the penitentiary system, since this right is of the utmost importance and is forgotten for those who have had their freedoms curtailed. The concepts used address the right to health of prisoners. Field research was conducted to address the health issues inherent in the prison, and a literature search to expand knowledge about the subject. The paper proposes to find measures to heal the disregard for health within the prison units
