Abstract

This study is the search result for the retail trade in the neighborhood of the Boca do Rio, in the city of Salvador/BA from the two circuits of the urban economy, identifying activities that demonstrate this theory, analyzing and verifying the importance the circuits of the urban economy take in organizing the neighborhood as well as pointing out the more prevalent. To your achieving a deductive approach was qualitative, seeking to find the occurrence and existence of the circuits of the urban economy in the Boca do Rio trade. The case study where we seek to analyze the event within a contemporary context. The literature search with your theoretical contribution. Descriptive research and field that aimed at data collection on trade on the main features of the urban economy. The data were collected through a questionnaire applied in commercial establishments. The information generated by research led to the development of charts, maps, tables that pointing the location of retail in the neighborhood of the Boca do Rio, the types of stores and their characteristics as consumption, business organization, technology, information, credit, finance, advertising and logistics. In the analysis of the results identified the presence and prevalence of lower circuit before the top circuit in that neighborhood between the establishments surveyed, as well as the role that the circuit below represents for your space and organization commercial.
