A função social da propriedade a partir do Movimento Sem Teto da Bahia em Salvador – Bahia

Abstract

This article aims to address and discuss the strategies of “Movimento Sem Teto da Bahia” – MSTB in the municipality of Salvador, what is the logic behind it, ideologically and operationally, considering the way of life in which they present themselves and how this movement is responsible for fulfilling the social function of property. The city of Salvador, capital of the state of Bahia, reflects the social inequality in its urban space, thus arising the necessity of those who cannot afford the real state costs, of uniting as a community and reclaiming their rights by occupying abandoned buildings in the city, pressuring the municipal government to fulfill the social function of these properties.
