A proteção jurídica dos refugiados venezuelanos à luz do direito brasileiro: da atuação insuficiente do estado à prevalência da sociedade civil organizada

Abstract

This research deals with the inflows of Venezuelan immigrants who arrive in Brazil and apply for refugee status, carrying out an analysis of the historical concept of refugee, notably through international conventions, as well as their amplifications, while making a diagnosis of the social context that gave rise to the socalled Venezuelan “migratory crisis”. It also analyzes the treatment given by the national legal system to the person requesting asylum, in order to bring to light the legal alternatives best suited to meeting the needs of refugees.
