Políticas de saúde voltadas às mulheres do sistema prisional: revisão de literatura.

Abstract

The female prison population faces a series of difficulties, among which, health problems and risk factors that are exposed, it is necessary that these women receive adequate health care. Objective: to analyze health policies aimed at the female population in the prison system and to identify health care barriers for the female population in the prison system. Method: This is a literature review of the literature review type, in which sources composed of manuals from the Ministry of Health of Brazil, articles, theses and dissertations were used. Results: from the evaluation of the studies, two categories emerged: health policies for the female population of the prison system and the barriers in health care for the female population of the prison system. Final considerations: It is necessary to implement public policies aimed at the female population of the prison system that promote comprehensive care through humanized and qualified assistance.
