Abstract

The present work addresses the discussion about violence against children and adolescents, highlighting a socio-historical analysis of the motivations of this violence. Sexual violence in children and adolescents occurs in a variety of ways and can occur through sexual intercourse, touching and touching. Within the family, it is often silenced by the myth of the Christian religion of family preservation. In this way, I seek to highlight the causes and physical and psychological consequences of the victim. In addition, it highlights the types of penalties of sex offenders and presents some alternatives to reduce or eliminate sexual violence. Mention is made of measures such as public policies in underprivileged communities, compulsory classes on sexuality education in public and private schools, lectures and annual activities for society, focusing on themes across all media, resulting in the elimination of such violence.
