A redução da maioridade penal como medida (in)eficaz no combate à criminalidade

Abstract

The present study sought to critically analyze the reduction of the criminal majority. Nevertheless, the present article dealt with criminal policy, outlining the profile of the offending adolescent, as well as the influence of the environment in which he lives, his treatment under Law 8,069 / 1990, the levels of commitment of and the experience of reducing the age of criminality in some countries. An exploratory research was carried out, in order to allow a greater knowledge on the subject, through the indirect documentation (documental and bibliographic research), analyzing the data collected qualitatively, which made it possible to confirm that the policy of reduction of the majority criminal law does not create any positive reflection for society or even for young people, which is why it is not justified.
