A importância do registro de enfermagem para a auditoria em home care

Abstract

The present study addresses the importance of nursing record for home care audit. The nursing audit is aimed at evaluating the quality of care provided to the patient, as well as reducingcosts for the health institution. The records of the multidisciplinary team is the main means of this evaluation. Objective: To analyze the relevance of nursing records for home care auditing, as well as to know the importance of the nursing registry for auditing, to identify the main reasons for glosses and to analyze the strategies that can be taken to reduce glosses. Methodology: This study is characterized as a descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Interviews were conducted with nursing home auditors from the city of Salvador. Results: Three categories of analysis emerged: Audit - a tool for quality of care and cost reduction; The importance of nursing records for auditing; Motives for glosses and strategies for their reduction. Final considerations: the present study brought the reflection to the health professionals and the academic ones as to the necessity of an adequate registry in the patient's chart for audit.
