Atuação do enfermeiro no cuidado e na prevenção de feridas crônicas na atenção primária á saúde

Abstract

With the epidemiological transition in Brazil, diseases with high prevalence rates have arisen and, consequently, there are complications arising from chronic diseases. Such conditions may be attributed to the presence of other comorbidities and to the intrinsic characteristics of the patient, such as age, thus establishing a serious public health problem. Objective: To understand the performance of the PHC nurse in the care and prevention of chronic wounds. Methodology: This is an integrative literature review study. For the survey of the articles were searched through databases specialized in the area of health being: PubMed and Virtual Library in health (VHL). Results: We selected 12 articles published from 2008 to 2018. The results were categorized in: The importance of primary health care for the care and prevention of chronic wounds; The knowledge of nurses in the prevention and care of chronic wounds. Final Considerations: The nurse must broaden the view of care, make patients understand the process, break the barriers of fear, insecurity and doubts, the professional has technological, methodological and scientific tools, but should have a simple tool such as listening, talking , hospitality and humanization
