    The present work focuses on a distributed system for managing electrical energy consumption in computer labs. From the increase in electricity consumption rates in Brazil and the observation of the difficulties faced by universities in keeping the elec- tricity consumption of computer labs within the scope and budgets foreseen. Therefore, the lack of transparency of the cost of using computers in a given period of time has consequences both for the university and for students and researchers, who rely on this resource as much as support in their academic lives. With the idea of a system to manage these laboratories, it is expected that universities have greater control of the environment in question, with regard to the time of use, costs and efficiency in the use of the computer, by the user.
