The South China Sea issue is one of the main issues study focuses within East Asia. It is involved as parties, the People's Republic of China, Taiwan, the Republic of the Philippines, Malaysia, the Nation of Brunei Darussalam and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, which have conflicting claims on the maritime and island territory of the region.Item O instrumento do refúgio aplicado aos indivíduos LGBTI(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2018-10) Nunes, Vinicius Augusto da Silva Vasconcelos; Sousa, Marcelo Fontana de; UCSAL, Universidade Católica do SalvadorThis article has the scope to analyze the need for refuge that is presented to the life of LGBTI people through the legitimation of the violation of fundamental rights by their countries of origin. In addition to analyzing the causes and possible solutions to the issue, it aims to give visibility to the debate, which revolves around a social group, which for many years has been invisibilized and silenced. It also aims to broaden the discussion on the real and effective guarantee of fundamental human rights established in the UN Charter and reiterated in Conventions and Treaties. Thus, we analyze Brazil's adherence to treaties of this kind, the influence of these rules on domestic law, and the changes made to Brazilian law to suppress this unlawful conduct. For this, we used the bibliographic and legislative research, with qualitative approach and hypothetical-deductive method. In the end, it was observed that domestic laws have been in line with international standards, but there is a lack of effective public policies to configure legislative compliance and provisions that exclusively foresee this practice against women. Therefore, it was concluded that there is a deficiency in the action of the public power regarding the prohibition of this act that violates human rights.
