2016-12-282016-12-282015-02-23https://ri.ucsal.br/handle/123456730/190This study presents the Policy of Care for users of alcohol and other drugs in the Network of Psychossocial Care (NPC) of the Historical Center of Salvador, Bahia via the ethno epidemiological research design, aiming to describe the articulation of the NPC attention points in the area; to identify the actions taken by the technical teams in addressing the serious public health problem; to identify the elements that facilitate or hinder the users of care access. The qualitative and quantitative method used structured questionnaires, direct observations and field diary. Bardin (2011) was used for the content analysis of qualitative research. The results highlight the high perception of alcohol problems and drug use by professionals in the territory, as well as referral to specialized service as the procedure for monitoring users of alcohol and other drugs and lack of specialized orientation in most of the units involved.
