As a result, this article has as its general objective the exposure and understanding about the Brazilian prison system, its irregularities and its treatment with the transgender population. In the list of specific objectives, it seeks to analyze how the legal system can soften or mitigate the mistakes committed, in order to ensure the effectiveness of its fundamental rights, as well as ensure its physical, psychic and moral integrity. As a methodology, it has a predominantly bibliographical nature, with a view to the survey of sources such as books, articles, jurisprudence and legislative provisions to analyze the specific case.
