Objective: To analyze through the literature the role of nursing in the management of waste from health services. Method: This is a Narrative Literature Review. The databases used in this study were articles published in the Latin American and Caribbean Literature on Health Sciences (LILACS) Medical LiteratureAnalysisandRetrieval System Online (MEDLINE) and Nursing Database (BDENF).
