In this process, residents can help to decide how to spend public funds on community improvements, such as parks, squares, streets, etc. PB allows the residents to participate in the municipal government budget decision-making and to develop public policies and citizenship in the process of public budget. In order to obtain information to this work, a lot of official documents were analyzed, such as neighborhood assemblies’ minutes and some documents of the city’s PB. As a result, it could be seen that many of the residents’ claims have been attended by PB.Acesso AbertoCidadaniaCitizenshipMovimentos sociaisSocial movementsOrçamento participativoParticipatory budgetingPolíticas públicasPublic policiesOrçamento públicoPublic budgetPolíticas públicas e cidadania: uma análise da construção do orçamento participativo por intermédio das Associações da Cidade de Alagoinhas – BahiaDissertaçãoSociais e HumanidadesMultidisciplinar
