2020-07-012020-07-012020-07-012020-06-10https://ri.ucsal.br/handle/prefix/1616This paper presents the theme The School Inclusion of the Student with Autism Spectrum Disorder in the Educational Environment: Advances and Challenges, demonstrating the importance of including autistic children in the school setting and the family challenges while dealing with this disorder. Faced with this, the research was carried out with the objective of identifying the participation of the family in the process of inclusion of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, aiming the investigaton of the parents’ opinion towards the participation of themselves and the society in the inclusion process of their child. The presence, involvement and commitment of the parents in the school life of their children are necessary for the success of the inclusion.
