2016-12-282016-12-282015-12-07http://hdl.handle.net/123456730/202This study aimed to reflect on the use of crack, harm reduction strategies, its effects on users, their effectiveness in a specialized health service in caring for crack users and other psychoactive substances (SPA), in Salvador. The methodology used was a documentary analysis of the technical and scientific production of specialized service chosen for this research, with regard to harm reduction strategies and about the history of crack use. In the documentary analysis has been engaged a qualitative survey carried out by semi-structured interview technique that was applied to four health professionals, operating with harm reduction strategies of crack users. It focused in review procedures, harm reduction strategies, difficulties and advances in public health policies.
