There is a lot of disagreement today about whether to be for or against the reduction and whether or not it is constitutional. In view of being a very current and controversial topic, a debate on this subject is necessary. The methods used to perform the present study were: historical, inductive and comparative. The result that this work intends to achieve is the fomentation of the aforementioned question, that is, the reduction of the criminal majority, being it feasible or not in view of the current situation in Brazil.
