2019-07-112019-06-072019-07-112019-03-28https://ri.ucsal.br/handle/prefix/836The study in question was conducted in order to identify and point out what measures some of the main public sports leisure facilities in the city of Salvador (BA) are adapted to promote access and to be used by people with physical and visual disabilities. The research was guided by Federal Law 10,098 / 00, which regulates basic criteria for the promotion of accessibility of People with Disabilities in public places, as well as by ABNT NBR 9050/15, which stipulates the technical conditions under which these leisure projects should be designed. Through a critical-theoretical discussion resulting from bibliographical and documentary researches and also collected in the field through photographs, questionnaire application and systematic observation using field diary, metric tape and semi-structured script, the approach of this investigation highlighted the importance of public spaces for sports leisure for people with physical and visual disabilities, as well as the current accessibility conditions found in public squares and parks in different neighborhoods of the city.
