Hypertension is one of the leading causes of maternal death in developing countries such as Brazil. Objective: To analyze the profile of maternal deaths related to hypertensive disorders of gestation, in the city of Salvador, Bahia, from 2006 to 2015. Methodology: All the deaths of women aged 15 to 49 years were recorded and recorded in SIM and SINASC as residents of the Municipality of Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. Results: The results of the study revealed that the majority of deaths occur in women between the ages of 30 and 39, most of whom are single and of low schooling, and are considered a public health problem.
