Methods: This is a literature review with a narrative nature. This research was constituted by articles recruited in the LILACS, SciELO and Google Academic databases, using the descriptors in the English and Portuguese language: "musculoskeletal pain" "teachers" "Burnout syndrome" "vocal health" "mental health" "quality of life . And by the Portuguese speakers: musculoskeletal pain, teachers, Burnout syndrome, vocal health, mental health. Articles with studies from the past 15 years have been leaked. Results: Of the 70 articles analyzed, 17 were selected for research. The studies included in this review are cross-sectional exploratory and descriptive-analytical. Methods: The following databases were consulted: LILACS, MEDLINE, SciELO, Academic Google, and the following types of study: Case Control and Experimentals. It was included studies about breast cancer, mastectomy and physiotherapeutic techniques. The searches occurred in the period from February to May 2019 Results: The studies found evidenced that the intervention of physical therapy is effective on reducing the complications after a mastectomy. Method: Descriptive study, qualitative approach. Eleven teachers of physical therapy participated in the study, who answered a semi-structured interview that addressed questions regarding teachers' perception of stress. The data were analyzed from the perspective of Bardin. All informants signed the Free and Informed Consent Term (TCLE). Results: After transcription of the interviews and rigorous analysis of the data, it became possible to identify and define the categories of the present study, being these: 1. Stress in teachers' work routine; 2.The meaning of stress for teachers. Final considerations: After analyzing the interviews it was verified that the stress has a very broad meaning. This meaning is elaborated by the individuals according to the relation that they have with the stimulus.
