This article is an unfolding of the research I have been doing since 2015 on the historic suburban parish of Nossa Senhora do Ó de Paripe. Region that was during the colonial period a pulsating heart of sugar production and currently corresponds to the main neighborhoods in the suburb of the city of Salvador. In this journey, however, we noticed the lack of historiographical productions about an important region for the construction of Bahia's history. Therefore, this study deals with the implementation of the railway in the parish of Paripe between 1850-1870, under the lens of Social and Public History, in order to develop a Weblog for interaction and dissemination of historical knowledge. For this, we will anchor the arguments based on bibliographies and documentary corpus.
