    This article is an analysis of the problem of popular representativeness from the perspective of the multiparty system in question in our country, Brazil, and Portugal. Seeking to clarify the imperfections of the system that culminated in the absence of ideological singularity and lack of popular recognition and identification, in order to demonstrate the impact of these distortions on the consolidation of a democratic project in constant metamorphosis.
