Item O trabalho noturno e as implicações biopsicossociais para o enfermeiro(Universidade Catolica de Salvador, 2017-12-12) Bocco, Yasmin Haddad; Magalhães, Elaine Teixeira de Oliveira; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Magalhães, Elaine Teixeira de Oliveira; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Carvalho, Danuza Jesus Mello de; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Paixão, Cláudia Silva Ferreira da; http://lattes.cnpq.brNight work is a current theme that has been studied by professionals from different areas, with greater depth over the years. With the transformations occurring in the scope of night work, the implications of this modality have impacted on workers' health in an incisive way. The nurse is one of the professionals who cares at night and is exposed directly to the negative predispositions of working at night. OBJECTIVE: to investigate the scientific evidences about night work and its implications for the nurse METHODOLOGY: This is a descriptive-qualitative bibliographic research with publications available in the LILACS (Latin American Literature in Health Chronicles) databases, SCIELO (Scientific Electronic Library online), PUBMED (US National Library of Medicine) and MEDLINE (Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online). We found 15 articles in Portuguese, original, published between 2011 and 2017. RESULTS AND DISCUSSIONS: The nurse is the professional who is very vulnerable to the development of the implications of performing the service at night. The adherence of methods and behaviors that alleviate the impacts of night work for the individual is important and contributes positively to the prevention of night work conditions. CONCLUSION: Nursing work is organized in shifts to provide uninterrupted care and meet the population's demand for health services. It was then observed that it is important an understanding of the worker on the limits of his body so that the accomplishment of the activity does not interfere in the health-disease process and does not compromise the care provided.
