    Understanding the reasons for refusal and the factors that influence family members during the donation process is vitally important for taking new initiatives in education as a whole. Understanding at what point the negative decision is essential, in order to adopt measures for its reversal. Objective: To analyze the reasons for family refusal to donate organs and tissues.Methodology: This is an integrative review, with the purpose of gathering and synthesizing research results on a delimited theme or issue, in a systematic and orderly manner, contributing to the deepening of knowledge about the investigated theme. Results: Among the factors that influence family members the refusal of organ donation are the lack of knowledge about the concept of BD, religious factors, lack of desire of the loved one and desire not to donate still in life of the deceased family member. Conclusion: The present study aimed to provide a reflection on the subject as well as to produce knowledge about the main reasons for not donating organs and tissues, thus contributing to the development of new theories and approach strategies that can act on the identified modifiable factors. in this article as essential limiting the effectiveness of organ and tissue donation.
