    The present article has the objective to propose a reflection of the problem of the reduction of criminal majority, searching important aspects that constitute the discussion in other countries. It will be initially addressed the fundamental concepts to understand the theme. Subsequently, the history and development of juvenile law in the Brazilian order. It will then be presented as the institute is constituted in other cultures, and how the discussions in other countries can help Brazil. Finally, it is proposed the reflection on the arguments of eventual reduction of the majority, taking into account the opposing and favorable arguments. This research is a bibliographical review, which has as an instrument of analysis books and scientific articles that deal with the subject, as well as historical legislation that existed in Brazil for further clarification.
