For the management of the units is necessary to the figure of a manager who most of the time goes through difficulties. Objective: The objective of this research is to verify the challenges facing management in PHC and management practices in PHC service within the scope of the Unified Health System (SUS). Methodology: This is a literature review, of the type of integrative literature review, introduced in the area of management. Result: After studying, he observed that the management process goes through numerous difficulties such as false autonomy that managers have to solve the problems of the units, the great demand of users, lack of human resources, materials, inputs and information system. This virus is endemic in several regions of the world. In Brazil, it is present in all states, with varying prevalences, estimated around 2.5 million infected. Genetic and immunological factors of the host are mainly responsible for the associated clinical manifestations. HTLV-associated myelopathy (HAM / TSP) and adult T-cell leukemia / lymphoma (ATLL) are the first diseases associated with this retrovirus. Subsequently, numerous other diseases have been correlated with this virus. Objective: To describe HTLV-1 and its symptomatology. Methodology: Research of character of integrative review of literature, through articles collected in the Scielo database. Results: Studies have shown that HTLV infection occurs for years, but its pathogenesis is recent. And its associated clinical manifestations can be divided into three categories: neoplastic, inflammatory and infectious. FINAL REMARKS: The main symptomatologies of HTLV-1 virus are HTLV-associated myelopathy (HAM / TSP) and adult T-cell leukemia / lymphoma (ATLL)
