    The objective of this article is developed somethings about Mercado Comum do Sul, MERCOSUL, based on bibliographic reviews, explaining about their history, your operation as in the sphere part as in the extern sphere and the Brasil’s protagonism in front of the other countries that are include in this trade bloc and the international relationships that they kept for the bloc. That was analyzed the most important themes that involved the MERCOSUL’s performance since your creation, starting with the Treaty of Asunción and continues with Protocolo de Ouro Preto, until the contemporary, showing the necessity of adequacy of the bloc to the globalization and how that process has impacted in the performance by itself
