(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2019-06-19) Vaz, Daniel Victor Moreira Calmon; Andrade, Raimundo Luiz de; https://wwws.cnpq.br; Freire, Marco Valério Viana; https://wwws.cnpq.br
The present study intends to establish the benefits of the separation of the State from religious institutions, understanding it as one of the most relevant principles of the order, in addition to the analysis of religious freedom supported by the constitutional text and by means of a study of principles to verify the challenges to its effectiveness in the face of legal and social setbacks evidenced through the growth of congressmen who govern their activities based on outdated religious dogmas, interfering in the right of the populations most vulnerable to intolerances.
