With the research was conducted a historical overview on the environment, on wildlife, urban fauna on the animal right on the act of abandonment causes and social, environmental and legal, as well as the Government responsibility for the analysis and the responsibility of citizens to the worsening of the situation with building of the Municipality of Camaçari, Bahia. Therefore, methodologically, the dissertation was based on a combination of literature review and a case study, and as a tool to collect data. The results showed that is taken the number of abandoned pets and that impact directly affects the life of the human being, the animal itself and wild animals. With this study, it was possible to consider the need to adopt public measures emergencies by the Government which, together with society, are directly responsible for this problem, but also proactive measures to raise awareness and environmental education for these people understand the meaning of abandonment and the possible consequences that derive from this act.
