Currently, the Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) has been a topic that has been extensively investigated and explored by researchers and professionals who deal directly or indirectly with it. By presenting a range of characteristics related to behavior, language and communication that vary in severity levels, the impacts arising from the diagnosis of ASD provoke a series of feelings and reactions that directly interfere in the diagnosed individual's quality of life, especially when deals with mild autism in which symptoms are often confused with behaviors commonly attributed to typically developing children. Along with this, we observe the commitment generated by the late diagnosis or its absence for the interventions necessary for the development of the autistic person. Based on a psychopedagogical approach, this qualitative bibliographical research aims to review studies on the impacts of autism diagnosis in mild cases of ASD.
