Formas de conservação e restauração de túmulos em cantaria de lioz no cemitério do campo santo, Salvador – BA

Abstract

Conservation and restoration are a necessity for humans. Mainly because, research in the area of preservation have grown very quickly in several places, which leads to new information about the materials and the deterioration mechanisms. Thus, new products are introduced and formulations are being changed. Thus, in a short period of time, information and content can become outdated, being the professional in this area be updated continuously, since it is the best equipped to face changes. Should know in detail the characteristics of the buildings, its history, the materials that compose them, forms of structural change and degradation, all complemented by scientific studies. In this article, in particular, studies are dedicated to the way of conservation and restoration of tombs, chapels and mausoleums in stonework of Lioz present in Campo Santo Cemetery, Salvador-Bahia; made in the century XIX by families of Portuguese sites for soteropolitanas wealthy families. Constituting themselves in a segment of technical guidance for the preliminary interventions, treatments, procedures and recommendations for the monuments in Lias pathologies, degrading agents and the methodology used for the treatment are identified. Comprising in a preliminary work that needs to be discussed, revised and supplemented - continuously - for the technical improvement occurs
