    The internet has become an environment of social interaction by promoting the sharing of information in a large proportion. Consequently, the world wide web (internet), ceased to be just a place for interaction between people, and became a place for the accumulation of heritage, due to this demand, the legal institute of digital heritage emerged. The work was developed through bibliographic references, scientific articles, and cases in the media were analyzed, in order to obtain the necessary elements for the textual construction. This article seeks to analyze how the inheritance law is allocating the virtual goods left by the ones in the hands, contained in social network accounts, verifying their economic value, and how these goods are protected by Brazilian law. It will analyze the existing provisions of the policy for the use of social networks, and finally, check the existing projects that deal with digital heritage.
