Objective: This article aims to identify in the scientific literature the factors associated with abusive use of alcohol by the elderly population. Methodology: This is an integrative review of a descriptive character, in the Portuguese language with publications in the period 2008-2015, available in electronic databases such as Google Scholar, SCIELO (Sientific Electronic Library Online), VHL (Virtual Health Library) and in electronic health journals. Results: Study shows damages caused by alcohol use affect society as a whole intensifies when referring to alcohol and alcohol abuse, and alcohol dependence increases the risk of family disruption, has negative consequences for the health and well-being of the family. quality of life of the elderly, increasing the risk of morbidities that lead to death or functional limitations as violent mental disorders. Final considerations: To conclude the study, it is important to emphasize the high rate of alcohol abuse by elderly people, with this we see a panorama of the current issues of old age, as fundamental elements in society. It may appear at any time in life, interfering with the individual's physical and mental state. Emergency is an environment favorable to the appearance of stress due to its functional characteristics. Objective: To analyze the scientific production regarding factors that trigger stress in nurses who work in the adult emergency units. Methodology: The present study is a review of the literature, through articles in the Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO), Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences (Lilacs) and Virtual Health Library (VHL). Results: The articles related to the subject of Stress in Nurses in the Adult Emergency Unit presented variations in the years of publication. In the year 2013, three articles were analyzed; one in 2014; six in 2015; three in 2016; and three in the year 2017. In 2015 there was a growing increase in interest in the subject. Final considerations: It is concluded that stress is present in nurses' life in emergency units, due to the different factors experienced. The stress-triggering factors are related to the institutional context, such as insufficient professional staffing, high patient demand, lack of resources to perform work and overload of work.Item O impacto do uso abusivo do álcool em idosos e suas repercussões no contexto familiar(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2018-12-06) Andrade, Camila Moreira de; Almeida, Daniele Santos de; lattes.cnpq.br; Almeida, Daniele Santos de; lattes.cnpq.br; Reis, Flávia Prazeres; lattes.cnpq.br; Leal, Maria Auxiliadora Carteado; lattes.cnpq.brAging is seen as one of the major health problems among the elderly, worsening when there is use of some kind of illegal or licit drug, abusive use of alcohol in relation to the elderly is seen as an 'invisible epidemic' by the public health, as it generates great problems in the family environment leading to conflicts, tensions, disruptions, besides financial problems and clinical and psychopathological diseases. Objective: To discuss the causes and consequences of alcohol abuse in the elderly. Method: Integrative review of a descriptive character, in the Portuguese language with publications in the period from 2004 to 2015, available in electronic databases such as Google Scholar Sientific Eletronic Library Online(SCIELO), Virtual Health Library(VHL) and Electronic Journals of Cheers. Results: Based on the evaluation of the data, the impact caused by the use of alcohol affects not only the family, but also all society and intensifies when it refers to the alcoholic individual and their relatives, causing several problems such as: unemployment, violence, physical and mental complications, damage to the family, traffic insecurity, among other impacts, and alcohol dependence increases the risk for family disorders, has negative consequences for the health and quality of life of the elderly, increasing the risk of morbidities that lead to death or functional limitations such as violence and mental disorders. Therefore, the question regarding the perception of the nurse about the importance of Occupational Therapy for hospitalized patients arises. OBJECTIVE: To analyze nurses' perception about the importance of occupational therapy for hospitalized psychiatric patients. METHODOLOGY: A qualitative, descriptive exploratory study with nursing assistants in the area of mental health that performs the function in a minimum period of one year, being excluded those who were away for any reason of their function. Performed in an institution belonging to the private inpatient network for patients with psychiatric disorders, located in the city of Salvador / BA. RESULTS: Through the perceptions of the participating nurses occupational therapy contributes to the rehabilitation of the patient in the context of psychiatric hospitalization, due to its particularities that allows individuals to occupy their hospital stay, to work autonomy, to attend to the demands of subjectivities individual and collective that are lost in the period of hospitalization or in the suffering of the disease, in addition to the possibility of recovering the rights of citizenship of these individuals. Affects the mental and physical health, it can cause suffering and troubles in the person’s life and for who lives together with them. In old age, the symptoms turn out to be confused as something natural, arising from aging and not properly diagnosed. Objective: To describe the prevalence self reported previous medical diagnosis of depression in elderly brazilian population in 2013. Methods: Datas from the 2013 National Health Survey available in DATASUS. It will be considerate elderly with self report depression according the Brazil’regions. Results: The prevalence of self-reported depression in the elderly was 11.03%, higher in women (78.15%), and in those who declared themselves as white (61.01%). Still the highest prevalences were in individuals without education or with fundamental not complet (65,17%), although most of them are able to read or write (83,34%). For residence place the individuals occupy more the urban zone (91.33%) and in the Southeast region (54.55%). Final considerations: The numbers serve to alert how is the mental health of elderly. The subjects of the research come from the metropolitan region of Salvador-Ba. In order to carry out this research in CAPS, we opted for descriptive and exploratory qualitative research. To generate the data, we used systematic observation and semi-structured interviews. And to analyze the data generated during the research was the content analysis. As a result, it was found that most of the participants made negative associations to the aging process. Most respondents are alcoholic and a small percentage use or have already used multiple drugs. It was also verified that some subjects of this investigation initiated the use of alcohol and other drugs in childhood and this abusive use accentuated itself in the adult age from the 50 years of age. It was evidenced that the psychoactive substance most used by the participants of this research is alcohol. It is believed that this phenomenon happens to be one of the most accessible licit drugs. It is concluded that several factors can contribute what the abuse of alcohol and other drugs, such as the spacing of family ties, loss of purchasing power and prejudice, among others. They expose the harms of chemical dependence in patients with mental disorders, especially in interference with diagnosis and treatment. Objective: Understand the relationship between schizophrenia and illicit drugs. Methodology: This is a literature review of the integrative type using the descriptors: Schizophrenia, Street Drug and Mental, with a temporal cut from 2008 to 2018 and considering articles published in English and Spanish. The specialized databases MEDLINE (Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online) and VHL (Virtual Health Library) were used to survey the articles. Results: Although many people perceive some advantages with the use of substances, this excess consumption can generate negative symptoms and in relation to a mental disorder, causing in a grouping of cognitive damages and affective, biological and personal functions. Final considerations: In summary, schizophrenic patients who use illicit drugs tend to worsen their mental state already affected by the disease. Drugs impair the treatment of schizophrenia by modifying the patient's behavior. Due to the pres-sures of the companies on the employees, demands, collections, low salaries among others. OBJECTIVE: To identify the risk factors that lead nursing professionals to initiate Burnout Syndrome, in addition to recognizing the symptoms and consequences of the syn-drome.METHODOLOGY: It is a literature review, of the integrative type, and of a descrip-tive character. Were used publications available in the databases in the Virtual Health Library (VHL), electronics of the Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO), Database of Nurs-ing (BDENF) and Index Psychology - Technical-scientific journals (INDEXPSI). The follow-ing descriptors were used in health sciences (DeCS) : Professional Exhaustion. Nursing Pro-fessionals and Nurses We found 13 articles in Portuguese, original, published between 2012 and 2017 that met the research objective. RESULTS: It was observed that the lack of experi-ence, autonomy, pressures, high demand of the sector among other problems found in the in-stitution can be a trigger for the development of Burnout Syndrome, especially in newly formed nurses and unprepared nursing staff, before all problems encountered in the environ-ment as lack of organization of the environment. Already the Ethical Chemistry Dependency A mental disorder, in which the sufferer undergoes a neurological disorder that affects the cerebral reward system, severely deteriorating its psychic, emotional, spiritual and physical life. OBJETIVE: to analyze evidence from the literature, regarding the association of the appearance of psychological symptoms, by means of chemical dependents, after the consumption of psychoactive substances. METHODOLOGY: This is a literature review study of the narrative type, not published in 2000 to 2017. RESULTS: Biopsychosocial factors can influence the appearance of psychological symptoms in predisposed chemical dependents. FINAL CONSIDERATIONS: This research found that there is still controversy regarding the origin of the chemical dependence, as well as of the associated psychiatric disorders. Cannabis sativa is the most widely used illicit drug in the world, in Brazil it is no different, about 6.9% of drug addicts use it. The association of the drug with the etiopatology of schizophrenia is known in the scientific world, despite the small number of studies carried out. Objective: Investigate the association of Cannabis sativa use with the onset of schizophrenia. Methodology: This work refers to a literature review of the integrative type, with a descriptive character. The data were colleted in the following electronic databases: PubMed, Scopus, Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO) and Virtual Health Library (BVS). Results: Based on the evaluation of the data, it is possible to note a pattern between the inveterate use of cannabis sativa in the adolescence or early adulthood and the development of episodes of psychosis in susceptible individuals, that can lead to the emergence of schizophrenia. There is often a comorbidity between abusive use of the drug and the disease. Final considerations: There is a growing form of thinking on the population in general that makes a precipitous and unilateral association of the beneficial and therapeutic effects of Cannabis sativa, which does not take into account the attributions detrimental to the health of the user in the short and long term.
