The way by which western societies have established themselves, based upon unleashed consumption of goods and extreme pillage of ecosystem services, leads to a belief that the solution for all this mismatch is to educate individuals. This aim consider a new political-educational dimension, radical and life-changing, conceived as Environmental Education. Such must develop new moral values, planetary ethics, critical awareness and global citizenship. This dissertative research paper aims to demonstrate the importance of the Military School of Salvador’s Biodiversity Research Center and its related educative practices, as a place to the promotion of Enviromental Education; show a brief historic of World´s and Brazilian´s Enviromental Educationts educative; structure the history/memory of Biodversity Research Center Sargento Albino (BRCSA); and also to identify Military School of Salvador students and teacher´s concepts of enviroment and Enviromental Education. For this purpose methodological procedures have been chosen based on documentary research of nature exploring and qualitative type, structured as a case study. The dissertation is organized in three sections, that discusses since worldwide and Brazil’s Environmental Education historical, going through the System Military School of Brazil and then Military School of Salvador, followed by the analysis of documents that allowed collecting data for building a historical of what it is so called Biodiversity Research Center Sargento Albino. The application of semi-structured questionnaires was necessary to students and teachers of the elective subject Environmental Education, part of the double shift Secondary Ecucation Curriculum Matrix. From the analysis of the results it was concluded, regarding environment and Environmental Education concepts that permeate the school community ideology and enable the elaboration and execution of upcoming projects in Environmental Education, further aligned with the National Politics of Environmental Education. Finally, it was shown the final product of the dissertation of a Professional Masters: a requalification and action proposal to the Biodiversity Research Center Sargento Albino, implemented on a letter of intent aiming this area´s conservation – the empiric field of the research; and also on a interdisciplinary didatic sequency pursuiting Tbilisi´s ideology.Item Conhecimento local e percepção ambiental de pescadores artesanais: uma estratégia de educação ambiental(Universidade Catolica de Salvador, 2018-02-26) Silva-Meneses, Fernanda Vera Cruz; Pimentel, Patrícia Carla Barbosa; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2048574640647443; Peres, Marcelo César Lima; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1614799098745668; Pinho, Ana Sueli Teixeira de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6649541365596258; Silva, Eder Carvalho da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1255883595571156Item Educação ambiental e valorização da ética para o cuidado do ambiente escolar(Universidade Catolica de Salvador, 2018-02-24) Almeida, Tereza Joelma Barbosa; Pinho, Ana Sueli Teixeira de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6649541365596258; Tinoco, Moacir Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0433618384031837; Beltrão, Lícia Maria Freire; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4646625492342557This dissertation, entitled "Environmental Education and Valuation of Ethics for Care in the School Context," aims to understand the factors that lead elementary and high school students to depredate school assets, the meanings they attribute to knowledge learned about environmental education, and the ways they represent and relate to the school environment where they study. The original idea for this research study emerged from considering aspects of school depredation and its relationship with the issue of environmental education. This study was conducted at the State School Teacher Sílvia Ferreira Brito, a school where the aspects of depredation are problematic. The purpose was to analyze and understand this environment. A qualitative research with a (auto) biographical approach was adopted, and focus groups and narrative interviews were the instruments chosen. In the analysis of the material produced emerged categories as the social representations of the students as a reference of life and to understand them I tried to establish dialogues with authors like Moscovici (2015) and Halbwachs (1990); (1999), Vygotsky (2000), Morin (2015), Cortella (2015), and the other students' , Puig and Araújo (2007); I also point out the meanings of the types of human values, of which the ethics of care are emphasized as an essential value for life, in this reflection I established a connection with authors such as Milton Rokeach (1973), Schwartz (1999), Pimentel (2004) ), Vinha and Tognatta (2009), Chauí (2007), Boff (2012), Gadotti (2003) and Dias (2004). The results of the research reveal a complexity of factors that provoke environmental problems within the school context, which permeate the dimension of intrapersonal, interpersonal and environmental relations, involving the construction of human values and the formation of the adolescent personality as a crucial phase for structuring these values and indicate ethics for the care of the school environment as an essential value for life. In this sense, I realize that environmental education needs to be seen from a socioenvironmental education, which allows students to recognize and reconstruct personal, social and environmental values in the light of ethical reflection for care. And I see in Project Pedagogy this educational possibility for the formation of students.Item Educação ambiental em uma escola pública municipal de Salvador/BA: conhecimentos e concepções de docentes dos anos finais do ensino fundamental(Universidade Catolica de Salvador, 2016-09-01) Santos, João Ricardo Borges dos; Tinôco, Moacir Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0433618384031837; Pinho, Ana Sueli Teixeira de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6649541365596258; Benati, Kátia Regina; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1202722851013635This study aimed to investigate, at a public school of Salvador / BA, in the final years of elementary school, the meanings attributed by teachers to environmental education through the analysis of knowledge about the principles that guide it and conceptions of environment presented by these teachers, since the conception of teachers of environment is directly related to the way they perform environmental education. Sauvé (2005) and Reigota (2010; 2011) pointed to the existence of different views on the environment and different ways in which environmental education can be practiced. In turn, Brazilian official documents - Diretrizes Curriculares da Educação Básica (BRASIL, 2013a), Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BRASIL, 2016a) in the second preliminary version and Política Nacional de Educação Ambiental (BRASIL, 1999) - discussed principles of environmental education: environment comprising the ecological, social and cultural features; interdisciplinarity; contextualization; transversality; continuity and permanence. The research was qualitative, exploratory type (Marconi and Lakatos, 2003). For analysis of the knowledge and conceptions of teachers was conducted a case study with application of a questionnaire with objective and subjective questions, while the description of the environmental importance of the neighborhood where the school was held from documentary research (GIL, 2008). As a basis for the analysis of the concepts of environment, categories were used established by Reigota (2010; 2011): Naturalist (corresponds to living beings and where they live), anthropocentric (is a space available for use of the human being) and globalizing (relationship between physical, biological and socio-cultural features). The school is placed in the vicinity of Parque são Bartolomeu, residual Atlantic forest, sanctuary for religions of African origin, the scene of battles for independence of Bahia and symbol of resistance against slavery for black people. This ecological, social and cultural importance of the park highlights the need for educational planning that effectively involves environmental issues surrounding the school. It was detected that teachers generally consider that environmental education is very important and must work on all school subjects, but many do not feel prepared to address it, because they were not trained for licensure. Participation in continuing education courses proved to be very shy, and the main source of information on the subject are internet sites. Predominant design through naturalistic environment: even the teachers who presented a concept of means globalizing environment, revealed naturalistic tendencies in other answers. Nevertheless, educators often work in a multidisciplinary way, using diversified strategies and forms of evaluation. They were able to identify negative environmental impacts in the school environment, including associated with Parque São Bartolomeu, and indicate proposals to mitigate them. However, most never visited the park, working with generic themes, with ecological and preservationist bias and especially on celebratory events. We recommend a reflection including teachers, coordinators and managers in the light of the Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais da Educação Básica and the Base Nacional Comum Curricular, about environmental education practiced at schools.Item Educação matemática e educação ambiental: proposta interdisciplinar para o ensino fundamental(Universidade Catolica de Salvador, 2018-02-19) Baqueiro, Ana Cristina Silva de Souza; Pimentel, Patrícia Carla Barbosa; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2048574640647443; Tinôco, Moacir Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0433618384031837; Alencar, Cristina Maria Macêdo de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2257876241055037; Pinho, Ana Sueli Teixeira de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6649541365596258One of the challenges of the current school lies in the search for an interdisciplinary approach of subjects that are treated in a separated way. The research that gave rise to this dissertation was constituted from the articulation between subjects of extreme relevance in the formative curriculum of the basic education, such as Mathematics Education (ME) and Environmental Education (EE), through a pedagogical aspect of action. Aiming this, the present study searched to make a diagnosis about the mathematical and environmental knowledge, of the second cycle of the elementary school students, based on the reality of the community in which they are inserted. The research was characterized methodologically by the quantitative analysis from data collection through a structured questionnaire. Descriptive and multivariate analyzes was used for this diagnosis, applying the exploratory Principal Component Analysis (PCA) in order to reveal the behavior patterns of these students. The results indicated that the students presented a certain difficulty in articulating knowledge acquired in the school environment with the situations experienced in their local community, as such, being an indication that this knowledge can and should be worked in a connected way when integrating ME and EE. The great challenge of this work is to propose a plan that can enable meaningful learning among these two subject.
