Item O abrigo, a criança e a família: caminhos da reinserção familiar(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2019-02-25) Cardoso, Lorena Márcia Nascimento; Bastos, Ana Cecília de Sousa Bittencourt; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Ferriz, Adriana Freire Pereira; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Souza, Cinthia Barreto Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Rabinovich, Elaine Pedreira; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Lima, Isabel Maria Sampaio Oliveira; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Alcântara, Miriã Alves Ramos de; http://lattes.cnpq.brThe social and familiar aspects related to the removal of children from their homes and, in some cases, the family life, put on the scene the situation of vulnerability in which are found many Brazilian families. In this scenario we have the institutional reception of children in shelters and the mechanisms that operate directly in the process of family reintegration. On this, our research object is the perspective of technical professionals that have been or are monitoring sheltered children and their families in the process of reintegration. We have the following research question: What family reality is unveiled throughout a process of reintegration of sheltered children in their families and how do the institution’s technical professional experience this process? To answer it, we have raised as main goal: i) analyze the track of family reintegration considering the context of the institution and of the sheltered child’s family of origin, in the perspective of technical professionals that operate this modality of reception. And, as specifics: ii) map the types of intervention/receptions targeted to the sheltered child’s family made by the shelter’s technical professionals, discussing the elements that interfere on reintegration; iii) identify the context’s conditions (house and family’s structure) to a successful reintegration, in the perspective of the shelter’s technical professionals; iv) analyze the relation of the shelter’s technical professionals with the child’s family and other systems that are part of the social and legal assistance to child protection network, facing the possibility of reintegration in family of origin; and v) analyze the meaning of institutional reception of children and family reintegration to shelter’s technical professionals. This is a qualitative research, with the design of a multiple case study (Yin, 2003; 2005; 2015). Half structured interviews were carried out with six professionals that operate or have operated as technicians in institutional childcare service, in the city of Salvador- BA. The data analysis was based on the construction of categories based on the bio-ecological model of Bronfenbrenner (1979/1996). The following were used as theoretical contributions: Bioecological Theory of Human Development (Bronfenbrenner, 1979/1996, 1989, 1993, 1998, 2004, 2011; Bronfenbrenner & Morris, 1998) and the Family Systemic Structural Theory (Minuchin, 1966/1990; Minuchin, P., Colapinto & Minuchin, 1999; 2011; Minuchin & Fishman, 2003), with the purpose of substantiating the analysis and understanding of the data. Thus, we conclude that the institutional reception of children composes a complex territory and the data obtained allowed us to access this reality through the perspective, coming from a professional trajectory, that sometimes was intertwined and confused with the trajectory of life.Item O afeto de família: suas consequências na aprendizagem em uma escola pública em Salvador(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2016-10-21) Abreu, Elmar Silva de; Conceição, Maria Cristina Gomes da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2143353238328520; Silva Filho, Penildon da; Rabinovich, Elaine Pedreira; Zucoloto, Patrícia Carla Silva do ValeThis work The family affection: Its consequences on learning in a public school in Salvador sought to describe the effects of the perception of family affection by the students on their school income. The aim of this study is to investigate how the family affection can influence in school income of students in a class of 5th series of the year 2016 of that school. Far from the claim to find direct relationships between these elements, it sought through an exploratory research of qualitative character by applying a semi-structured interview and Inventory test Familiar – Support Perception IPSF, collect data that allowed such a description. Randomly was defined a class of 5th grade in a public school in Salvador, being selected 5 students with the highest income and 5 school students with low incomes 5. Students are in the range of 9 to 12 years. The mothers of these students were invited to participate in the study, and 3 could not subsequently participate by informing impossibilities. The research then had 10 children and 7 mothers. The families of that research have an equivalent socioeconomic level, living in the surrounding area of that school. The theoretical anchor of that work is by following concepts as the main line Piaget (1954) in his Relations Between L'affectivié et L'intelligence Dans Le Développement Mental Lenfant – Relations between affectivity and intelligence in the Mental Development of Children and related work concurrently treating cognitive development and affectivity that are the central themes of this research. Piaget suggests that affect and cognition are inseparable elements, affectivity works with fuel for cognition. By completing the survey, through the diversity of family realities and individuality of its actors, it was realized yet occurrence of reflections of perceptions of family affection by the students on their school income.Item Assistência à saúde disponibilizada às famílias do subúrbio de Periperi – Salvador - Ba, nas décadas de 1960 a 2010: resgate histórico(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2014-12-03) Torres, Ogvalda Devay de Sousa; Rabinovich, Elaine Pedreira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1594550972937138; Paim, Jaimilson da Silva; Santos, José Eduardo Ferreira; Franco, Anamélia Lins e Silva; Bastos, Ana Cecília de Sousa Bittencourt; Britto, Antônio Carlos NogueiraThis paper pays homage to a father and medical doctor who dedicated 25 years to Periperi, an area located on the northern surroundings of Salvador. Salvador is the capital of the state of Bahia, and is itself a micro-region, located in the macro-region East. The exact designation, as far as public health care is concerned, is First Regional Health Directory. The researcher lived in Periperi during childhood and part of her youth, being the daughter of the first physician to actually live in the aforementioned railway district. He started work as soon as she graduated from Medical School in 1942. The author has also worked in that area for 50 years. She has also started the first private clinic in the area, where office and emergency calls were available. The present work is a qualitative and basically descriptive piece of research -a case study-but utilizing various methodological strategies. The research instrument has been a semi-structured questionnaire, applied to families who now live in Periperi or who have lived there in the past. The sample was classified according to the decades from 1960 to 2010. Sixty five families with children were selected, with data on birth date, gender, birth and vaccination places, immunopreventable diseases, subsequent doctor’s calls and further details about the local history. Details from available patient files at the authors office (42% out of 1203 consultations) an from files belonging to the office of "Atendimentos Médicos Especializados" (AME), where the author also worked (28 % of 6535 files). Concerning the alluded 65 families, 203 births were registered and a total of 207 infants were born, being two cases of twins. Two infants were adopted. Most births occurred at home in the 1960s and 1970s. Birthswere assisted mainly by midwives and most families had several children. The first case of a family having an only child happened in the 1980s. This became the model for 80% of the families in the 2000s. Vaccination was performed most frequently in Periperi. Immunopreventable diseases began to decrease in incidence. Private insurance was used to some extent but SUS (Unified Health System, a governmental initiative) took the leadership in the 2000s. The developmental and cultural mark of the 2000s was the building of a road, namely, Avenida Afrânio Peixoto or Avenida Suburbana, after the birth of many private medical offices. The pediatrics office was responsible for 52,8% of pediatric consultations, the remaining 24,26% being covered by UNIMED, a private insurance. Six specialties and eight doctors were responsible for the clinical work at Clínic AME. Gynecology, Internal Medicine and Ultrassonography were the leading specialties. AME also serve as a basis for research conducted by UFBA and UCSAL. Health Fairs and Educational Fairs promoted by Lions Club Salvador-Periperi received support from AME. Lions Club and Fiocruz used their space and international research about schistosomiasis was performed in their facilities. The evolution of health care and the success of governmental health plans was visible. The change in vaccination routine was successf and SUS has been recognized as a good health system. Doctors, however, appeared to be more humanistic in the past.Item Os avós de ontem e de hoje segundo desenho de crianças do 6º ano do ensino fundamental do colégio militar de Salvador, Bahia(Universidade Católica de Salvador, 2018-10) Pinto, Manon Toscano Lopes Silva; Rabinovich, Elaine Pedreira; Machado, Ana Isabel Duarte; Ferreira, Sonia Maria Moraes; UCSAL, Universidade Católica do SalvadorItem Biografia e percursos acadêmicos e familiares de estudantes com sofrimento mental(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2017-07-21) Brito, Eliana Sales; Rabinovich, Elaine Pedreira; lattes.cnpq.br/1594550972937138; Nunes, Mônica de Oliveira; Souza, Elizeu Clementino de; Almeida, Carla Verônica Albuquerque; Costa, Lívia Alessandra Fialho daThis study is part of the perspective of the biographical approach, represented by the method of life narratives, which seeks to construct meanings based on experiences lived by the individual himself, subject of his own history. Thesis deals with the academic and family trajectories of students suffering from mental illness, their personal and family trajectories, on students who are enrolled in Nursing and Physiotherapy courses at the Catholic University of Salvador and with suspicion of depressive symptoms. Research was delineated in a quantitative and qualitative method, being conducted in two stages: in the first, a prevalence study was carried out to estimate the frequency of depressive symptoms in the study population and to track second-stage informants through application of a sociodemographic questionnaire and academic profile and the Self-Reporting Questionnaire (SRQ-20). The questionnaire was applied in the classroom of all the semesters of said courses, counting on the participation of 185 students of Nursing and 101 of Physiotherapy. Results showed a prevalence of depressive symptoms of 44.8%, with a higher frequency for Nursing students (59.4%). For the second stage were selected for convenience, students classified as suspects of depressive symptoms using the SRQ-20 score. Data were collected through a narrative interview, which allows, through listening, to generate data about the stories of the individual and to apprehend meanings and interpretations that each gives to her own existence. For the analysis of the interviews, the technique of comprehensive analysis was employed. Ten students, six Nursing and four Physiotherapy students were interviewed, nine women, aged between 19 and 40 years, with family income of up to two minimum wages; seven of them are the first of the family to enter higher education. Admission to the university for these young people who already have a history of depressive symptoms requires major effort from them to cope with the stressful situations of academic life and forces them to operate with the material, pedagogical and emotional resources that are not always accessible. These young people "survive" the stressors, at the cost of an even greater effort, triggering forces in a direction that can construct senses to their existence.Item O casal e as relações de parentesco por afinidade: os sogros(Universidade Catolica de Salvador, 2015-11-20) Neves, Sinara Dantas; Rabinovich, Elaine Pedreira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1594550972937138; Cerveny, Ceneide Maria de Oliveira; Silva, Célia Nunes; Alcântara, Miriã Alves Ramos de; Costa, Lívia Alessandra Fialho daCan experiments with relationship by marriage experienced by the couple in their original families clarify how relations with kinship affinity are presented in the current married life? This study analyzes the resulting repercussions of experiences with kinship by marriage the couple lived in their original families in building these relationships in the current married life, focusing on the parents-in-laws. It is a qualitative study, with multiple cases study design from a reasoned approach to systemic epistemology. Semi-structured interviews with three couples were held individually in a convenience sample, based on the following inclusion criteria: be between 25 and 45 years old; be middle class; be heterosexual; present degree of high school or university education; be first conjugal union; have both parents alive, and have children. Data were initially analyzed individually, case by case, based on what emerged from the talks, then grouped from unusual aspects obtained through the constant comparative method. The results refer to recurring issues such as: issue of housing and border revision; spouses as mediators between the partner and their relationship by marriage; in-laws as grandparents; strengthening the "absolute I". These results confirm the intergenerational transmission of wedding interaction patterns of parents for couples investigated, showing a tendency to repetition by gender, by at least one of the spouses. These interactions processes reveal the existence of a set of interests from the original families, in the role of grandparents as a way to keep the new couple attached to them, which deserves to be carefully studied.Item Ciclometanoia: poética de um corpo feminino sobre duas rodas(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2021-09-08) Silva, Maria Angélica Vitoriano da; Rabinovich, Elaine Pedreira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/; Urpia, Ana Maria Oliveira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/; Souza, Cinthia Barreto Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/; Cardoso, Lorena Márcia Nascimento; http://lattes.cnpq.br/; Bastos, Ana Cecília Bittencourt; http://lattes.cnpq.br/; Santos, José Eduardo Ferreira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/The investigation object of this doctoral research emerges from the researcher's concerns in face of the precipitated questions from the decision to learn to ride a bicycle. This is a case study of the experience lived at 57 years of age, in the aging phase, a woman, white, cis, straight, middle class, retired, but active in professional activities related to her academic training in Pedagogy and Psychology , mother, grandmother, married, residing in the city of Salvador. Its structure revolves around a single case study with an autoethnographic qualitative methodological characteristic in which, starting from a single, spontaneous individual subjective experience, the author describes her encounter with herself, in the encounter with the other and the transformations in the self, resulting from these encounters. The use of autoethnography favored understanding the meanings that the person attributes to their own past experience, opening new meanings to this experience. Having as problematic the decision to learn to ride a bicycle and the repercussions in the different spheres of her life, it proposes to understand the resulting transformations. The analysis process engendered its own paths and routes that favored (re)flexing on the experience, planned through images and in the making of a cartography describing the trajectory of the self in transformation. It was observed that, when approaching the aging phase, the late injunction awakens the desire of a child who hibernated for long years: riding a bicycle. The path taken in the fulfillment of this desire triggers the methanoia of the last phase of life, bringing to light issues that crossed it and modifying its relationship with i her body, with people, with the city. She called this process cyclomethanoia, defined as the cyclical experience of methanoia. It validates the importance of the autoethnographic method and highlights the importance of research on themes that highlight the role of women, their relationship with the body and the aging process; the use of bicycles as ways of health care and resistance to bio-power over their bodies; about caring for the environment and the ways in which individuals relate to the city.Item Compreendendo centenários: religiosidade / espiritualidade, limitações e maus-tratos(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2020-10) Paim Filho, Maurício Parada; Rabinovich, Elaine Pedreira; Paim Filho, Maurício Parada; Rabinovich, Elaine Pedreira; UCSAL, Universidade Católica do SalvadorItem Compreensão da criminalidade por jovens de famílias classes médias em situação de conflito com a lei(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2008-09-20) Bastos, Samira Safadi; Rabinovich, Elaine Pedreira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/Reflect about and with teenagers of lower socioeconomic conditions defers to a stereotype, no less real and legitimate, but repeated, of less opportunities. So, the question which guides this work is about how middle classes young people, in conflict with the law, perceive their entrance and / or permanence in criminality. Six young people, from 16 to 19 years-old, of both sexes, in urban contexts participated of this case study, three of them were sentenced and the other three did not pass by the juridical system. The standards used to classify young people as middle class were: revenue, neighborhood where the family lives, occupation and educational level of their parents, and others, always used in a cumulative way. Two analysis levels took place in the results: one of social, family and individual dimensions, and the other of relational dynamics, involving issues concerned to: exercise of authority; construction of male / female; relevance of the family; contexts of entry and residence in crime; presence / absence of the father figure; understanding of crime; youth as a slice of the consumer market; hedonism; forms of sociability of youths; rootlessness and vulnerabilizations faced by families. We identified the need to (re) knowledge among young people from different social classes and we find that reflect with the young people from medium social-cultural classes forces us to seek forms of overcoming the limitations of the current welfare policies.Item A conjugalidade de pais com filhos diagnosticados com paralisia cerebral: entre a afetividade e suporte social(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2015-09-10) Veloso, Luciana Trindade; Alcântara, Miriã Alves Ramos de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4186283459709800; Rabinovich, Elaine Pedreira; Oliveira, Tereza Cristina deThe discussion about the couple of couples who have children with Cerebral Palsy r epresents a great challenge and a harvest important for studies on the family directions, the affection became the nucleus around which its members gather and provide feedback your desire to be together. However, the intense, uninterrupted and permanent care inherent in the framework of cerebral palsy prints specifics to form. The present study aims to discuss the dynamics of conjugality in families with children diagnosed with CP, from the fact that the care of children with CP modifies the household routine, especially for mothers who want professional, personal life to devote himself to the treatment of their children. In the interim, the married life is in the background and the couple turns to the needs of your child. Three couples participated in the research met in a Clinical School of Feira de Santana -nBahia. The data collection instrument was a interview especially created for the study, which covered the following themes: family history and marriage, parenting, support network and careful , sexuality and prospects for the future. The criteria for inclusion of participants were: couples with children with Cerebral Palsy; participants of a social Assistance Program. The content produced by each couple were analyzed based on these thematic blocks, and the results were discussed with focus on conjugality of couples doing a comparative analysis of data obtained with the national and international literature. Despite the CP bring emotional overload for the family, especially for the mother, the couple's difficulties are not determined by stress that the care of the child with CP determines, but rather by their own everyday experiences.Item Conjugalidade em mulheres da camada popular(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2011-11-23) Grillo, Susana Maria Levien; Rabinovich, Elaine Pedreira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/; Alcântara, Miriã Alves Ramos de; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Reis, Lilian Perdigão Caixêta; http://lattes.cnpq.brThis study aims at identifying the context in which the married life of popular layer women in Salvador, occurs, and to amplify comprehension of conjugality. Seven local women have been interviewed by using a qualitative studying approach. In order to do that, a semi-structured questionary that explores describing and identifying situations related to conjugality has been used. The method used for this analysis was the derivation of the interview contents, aiming at the creation of categories. The results were grouped in two main axis, which were subdivided in three categories: First axis: tensions context, with the categories: aggressiveness; maternity; ambivalence in the confrontation; and the second axis: ways of resolution, consisting of: the presence of the man; supporting web; ways of facing the conjugal situation; re-marriage. The interviewees reported romantic life experiences that led them choose their partners, struggling to keep their relationships, although based in week ties, leading to a traditional and successive marital idea. Pregnancy has shown to be an important generating source of marital problems, encouraged by the aggressiveness and violence between couples over jealousy, drug abuse and infidelity. Suffering from contradictory feelings and humiliations, they look for support among their family members, institutions, police departments and churches. Maternity shows to be the reason of changes in married life. However, it is not verbalized as the source of tensions in married life, and it is faced as part of conjugality. The frequent re-marriage or exchanges of partners have happened for of the need of economical supporting, for the education of their kids and for moral and physical protection. Therefore, these women seem immersed in a cultural context where traditional values coexist with modern ones generating models of conjugality to be better known.Item A contribuição dos tios e tias na vida dos sobrinhos em uma escola pública de um bairro da periferia de Salvador-Ba(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2019-03-19) Silva, Maria Madalena Lima; Rabinovich, Elaine Pedreira; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Silva, Cirlene Francisca Sales da; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Bastos, Ana Cecília de Sousa; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Santos, José Eduardo Ferreira; http://lattes.cnpq.brThe present study aimed to investigate the place of uncles and aunts in the socialization of nephews, focusing on the different ways that this contribution may happen, such as: financial assistance, care and affectivity. We opted for carrying out a quantitative, descriptive and exploratory research, based on statistics (percentage) as an attempt to explain in greater depth the meaning and characteristics of the result of information obtained through semi-open questions. The population studied is composed by members of families belonging to the popular class, residents in the Suburb Railroad of the Salvador city. The proposal of this investigation emerged from existing gaps on the literature about the specific role of uncles / aunts in the family contexts. As theoretical contributions were considered studies on human evolutionary theory and human ethology as well as family and society. Responding to emerging issues, we could assume that: a) even knowing that parents, in general, occupy the main place in the children's lives, uncles / aunts invest in their nephews and nieces: i) due to the new family configurations; (ii) because of inclusive fitness, aiming at the likelihood of their own genes in the population ("selection of relatives"); iii) considering specifically the population examined, residents of outlying districts of Salvador, the lack or lack of assistance and public policies to his nephews and nieces influence uncles and aunts to accept the responsibility to contribute to the improvement of life of the nephews; b) uncles / aunts perceive their participation in processes of socialization of the nephews as of great importance. Thus, they act in the most different aspects of their lives, such as affective, financial. The analyzes provided relevant information on the role of uncles and aunts in the life of their nephews and nieces, such as: i) the main role played by uncles is the affective; ii) aunts are the most mentioned as active in seeking the welfare children and adolescents; iii) unmarried aunts and uncles are the most mentioned as caregivers; iv) the understanding that the other family members are willing to and are accepted into care activities is ratified. At long last, we cannot fail to point out many questions have emerged from this study and that further researches, broadening the analysis and gathering information are needed.Item Contribuições de famílias para o rendimento escolar de alunos de 1ª a 4ª séries do ensino fundamental: olhares das responsáveis e das professoras(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2008) Moraes, Rita de Cássia Araújo Freitas de; Moreira, Lúcia Vaz de Campos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/; Rabinovich, Elaine Pedreira; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Cruz, Antonio Roberto Seixas da; http://lattes.cnpq.brIn contemporaneity, educational paradigms point out the importance of the involvement and the contribution of the family to children’s school life. Besides the family, the school and the pupil contribute to a better or worse school performance. It is in this context that the present study is inserted and had as its general objective to investigate how families contribute to school performance of 1st to 4th grades pupils of primary education at an urban municipal school in the interior of Bahia, according to the children’s responsible guardians and their teachers. 18 responsible guardians whose children presented higher performance (group 1) and 18 with lower performance (group 2), totalizing 36 responsible guardians in both groups, besides 18 teachers ministering the groups, which the pupils belonged to, and the pedagogical coordinator of the school have participated in the study. Three half-structuralized scripts of interviews have been elaborated (one for guardians, one for teachers, and another for the coordination). The study was approved by the ethics committee. The participants have signed a term of Free and Informed Consent and have been submitted to recorded interviews using the scripts. By using quantitative-interpretative analysis, systems of categories have been constructed. The following results are observed: in group 1, the majority of responsible guardians work, are married, have high school degree, have an income between one and three minimum salaries, and presented a nuclear family type. In group 2, the majority does not work, is single, has low educational level (up to 4th grade of primary school), has an income of up to one minimum salary, and extensive/amplified family type. Such data suggest that, although both groups are inserted in a context of poverty, the children with lower school performance are found in much more precarious life conditions. The children from group 1 were considered intelligent, well-behaved, sociable, and studious, but the ones from group two, although also well-behaved and sociable, are identified as little intelligent and studious. The majority of responsible guardians from group 1 attend school meetings, whereas only half of group 2 did it regularly. In group 1, children take their homework done to school, what does not happen in group 2. The data suggest that school was viewed as an instrument capable of making possible for popular social layer children to have a better life condition than the one they currently have. According to the teachers, the family constitutes the fundamental element of children’s higher and lower school performance, besides being the base of the individual’s integral formation. Finally, to both responsible guardians and teachers, a good family-school relationship is a fundamental condition for the children’s school success. It was concluded that the families, with its characteristics, can contribute effectively as inhibiting or propeller of their children’s school performance, but also the school and the child are protagonist in this performance.Item Costurando as redes de cuidado de crianças com paralisia cerebral(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2011-10-20) Almeida, Camila Ferrari de; Rabinovich, Elaine Pedreira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/; Alcântara, Miriã Alves Ramos de; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Franco, Anamélia Lins e Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.brCerebral Palsy is a disorder characterized by movement impairment secondary to a non-progressive lesion of the brain in early stages of its development. Among the many possible presentations within this diagnosis, there is a spastic quadriplegic type, in which it is expected severe motor implication that makes impossible the ability to walk and have many associated comorbidities. This condition requires attention of the caregiver throughout the person's life because of his/her dependence. The mother is, in general, who usually assumes the role of caregiver. The present work aims to understand the process of caring for children with severe neurological disease considering the composition and function of the mother's social network, and where Rehabilitation team stands in this context. The survey was conducted with five participants, mothers of children cared by SARAH Network of Rehabilitation Hospitals - unit Salvador. As data collection instrument, semi-structured interviews and network map application were used. The analysis was performed taking into consideration Bioecological Human Development theory. It was observed that mothers went through an ecological transition which began right after the children with cerebral palsy's birth, considering the PPCT model (person, process, context and time). All mothers left their work and / or educational activities. The person's social network was reduced and, at the present, it is restricted to family, especially the female figures such as children's grandmothers and aunts, few friends and the Rehabilitation team. The way it appears, the personal social network seems to be fragile and overloaded of work, as the participant accumulates functions and attributions. Mothers reported fatigue and social isolation, but draw attention mainly to the feeling of loneliness. This context puts the caregivers in a position of vulnerability to physical and mental diseases. These results indicate the need of supporting the mother on the carrying process and show the importance of the family and the Rehabilitation Center in the process.Item A criança abrigada e a sua família: marcas e trajetória(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2014-10-23) Cardoso, Lorena Márcia Nascimento; Bastos, Ana Cecília de Sousa Bittencourt; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7406825750662792; Santana, Juliana Prates; Rabinovich, Elaine PedreiraThis research had as general objective: understand perceptions of children served in shelters have in relation to their family background and their stay in the institution and specific objectives: to identify the precipitating reasons that led to the condition of the shelter and psychosocial profile of children in study; characterize the relationship of the family members with the child and with the institution during the period of institutional care; and analyze the perception of children about the shelter and its family of origin. The methodology was qualitative in nature. The primary data were initially collected by applying a semi-structured interview guide that included open and closed questions, called Situational Survey with professional psychology shelter, in which information was collected about the child, his family, and the reasons that generated the referral to the shelter and actions of the institution in the monitoring of children studied. In a second step, was performed a semi-structured individual interviews with the participants playful children, in which the following items were addressed: family background, your welcome and stay at the shelter and their perspectives on the situation in which the child is. This interview took the form of a booklet of activities entitled "Hey, we're here." To obtain additional data records and the routing folders and participant observation were used. Paralleling the condition of these sheltered children was made a connection that reality with the theoretical perspective of the bioecological model of human development of Urie Bronfenbrenner. The results achieved here, because they reflect the reality arising of children, allow the advancement in discussions, research and coping strategies to better target the residential care services.Item O cuidar dos avós visto pelos netos em idade escolar(Universidade Catolica de Salvador, 2016-03-04) Azambuja, Rosa Maria da Motta; Rabinovich, Elaine Pedreira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1594550972937138; Motta, Alda Brito da; Dias, Cristina Maria de Souza Brito; Ramos, Maria da Conceição Pereira; Ramos, Maria Natália Pereira; Alcântara, Miriã Alves Ramos deThis study takes as its focus grandparent caregivers as seen by schoolchildren, based on the Bioecological Theory of Human Development. This theory assumes the standpoint of the analysis of the person, process, context and time, by observing the interaction between the dyad adult/child. In order to understand the bonding circumstances and reciprocal positions between grandparents and grandchildren, through the eyes of grandchildren and based on the bio-socio-historical context, multiple case studies were performed in a private school with middle- and low-income students, located in the city of Salvador. The study, submitted and approved by the Committee of Ethics in Research, included six elementary school students, three female and three male, between the ages of six and nine years, along with their grandparents. From basic questions about how the grandchildren view the significance of their relationship with grandparents, and how intergenerational relations with grandparents may differ by gender as to the development of personal and social education, four procedures were performed: interviews with the grandchildren using instruments of educational perspective (circle of conversation and album of images); and analyses of the interaction between grandparents and grandchildren using psycho-pedagogic instruments (game boxes) and those of systems theory (shared game). The main results show that the meaning of grandparents varies according to the mode of co-habitation, for the full-time caring for grandchildren, the grandparents were seen as caretakers; for the systematic, as companions; and the sporadic, as pranksters. There was a difference in intergenerational relationships according to gender: In order to interact with their grandchildren, women perform activities in internal spaces with educational and electronic games, while men prefer activities that occur in external spaces, such as parlor games or football on the beach. Thus, understanding the child as a family member and as the object of care corresponds to a vision of development as molar, in which, for the children, being taking care of involves close articulation with coexistence and interaction.Item Desafios contemporâneos da participação do pai na constituição do eu: uma visão winnicottiana(Universidade Catolica de Salvador, 2015-12-21) Bitencourt, Ana Carolina Lima Neiva; Rabinovich, Elaine Pedreira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1594550972937138; Menezes, José Euclimar Xavier de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5194408237403794; Moreira, Lúcia Vaz de Campos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8863706292628331; Almeida, Carla Verônica AlbuquerqueThis theoretical study takes the contemporary fatherhood practices and its effects to psychic development of the child as the main object of investigation. It seeks to analyze the major effects of the contemporary malaise for fatherhood and for development of the self in childhood, within the current family models, trough the perspectives of Winnicott's theory. For this purpose, this investigation tried to identify the main contemporary reflexes to ongoing family models, attempt to bring together the Winnicott’s personal maturation theory and the fathership habits in vogue. As such, this research explores the modern preeminent defiances for the development for the child’s self and for the process to become a father nowadays. This investigation has a qualitative nature and consists of a theoretical study that adopts the logical and deductive method, starting from general theories about contemporaneity and Winnicott’s personal maturation and then applying it to the main object of this investigation. Trough analytical-synthetic procedures, the most important findings were discussed and pointed to a emerging model of fatherhood that results from women’s emancipation and the weakening of the institutions, stereotypes and relationships. Moreover, an apparent transformation was noticed in the way of being a father who seems to be driven by the desire to be a father and not only by the duty of being a financial provider. Some of the most relevant Winnicottian concepts also were used to strengthen the reflections about the challenges of being a father today. To conclude, this investigation recognizes the need for future field researches dedicated to mapping the different models of contemporary fatherhood within various cultural contexts and the importance of diachronic analysis of the manifestation of the so called desire to be a father.Item Desafios e estratégias educativas de mulheres-mães de camada popular urbana: um olhar sobre a experiência do Programa Bolsa Família (PBF)(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2018-01-23) Silva, Ester Nunes Praça da; Costa, Lívia Alessandra Fialho da; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Franco, Anamélia Lins e Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Rabinovich, Elaine Pedreira; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Gatinho, Andrio Alves; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Messeder, Marcos Luciano Lopes; http://lattes.cnpq.brThis thesis is based on a qualitative research on socializing logics and societal practices of women-mothers receiving the program family-PF-in the face of the consideration of the requirement of school attendance. The articulation of the dimensions female heads of family with Protestant religion expresses the problematic that both families and religion have gone through significant changes in contem-porary religious profile of Brazilian society and families. Besides, this family arrangement is the most increasing group in the Brazilian urban context. This study makes an assumption that religious values and principles have been established in contemporary as an important support to this type of family. The study was based on a qualitative research, based on the question-naires, secondary data and on extensively interviewing seven evangelical families living in the municipality of Salvador, state of Bahia, chosen by the following criteria: women head (with unmarried and separated converted women); converted women who assiduously attend the Church; presence of little children and dependants; belonging to low social class; absence of the father in the daily family life. Narratives on their experiences since their families of origin, to the single parenting and to the evangelical confession tried to answer the question of how these changes were processed in their lives when religion emerged as an element of structuring the family ethos. When women converted themselves they searched in these churches support to themselves and to their families for diverse problems associated with urban life, social inequalities and disagreements in the affective-sexual life. It was verified that the conversion was associated to the moment of life cycle that coincided with the constitution of female monoparental family with small children, leading these women to the evangelical church. It confirmed the assumption that the female single families adhesion to religious practices brings positive consequences related to their children orientation as it modifies the private ethos private in conjunction with the religious ethos.Item Envelhecimento e sexualidade: ouvindo o homem idoso de camada popular(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2019-12-03) Silva, Rogério Rosa da; Rabinovich, Elaine Pedreira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/; Costa, Lívia Alessandra Fialho da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/; Ferreira, Marilaine Matos de Menezes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/This study aimed to understand the sexuality experiences of elderly men in their aging process. It also aimed: to understand the family concepts; the experiences of sexuality of the elderly in the family; and identify if there is the practice of sex or other forms of sexuality of the elderly. This is an exploratory qualitative research that used for data collection a semi-structured questionnaire and content analysis. Twelve men participated in the interviews, six of them married and six unmarried. The following thematic categories were proposed: aging, sexuality, family, aging and sexuality. Aging was analyzed by the following categories: aging as a natural process; aging as loss of ability: independence vs. disability; aging as a gift and life; aging as a short and long term quality of life; being old x elderly. Data regarding the thematic category sexuality were organized around the following analytical categories: sexuality as sex; sexuality as a sex life; sexuality as desire; sexuality as a relationship with people and with society. As a result, it was found that older men accept old age as a natural process, but stereotypes of old age were linked to negative aspects. Older people fear dependence and disability. They do not feel old, but they call themselves elderly and not old. Regarding sexuality, the idea of sex prevails as a sexual practice closely linked to genitality. It can be seen that those who can feel an erection are in their seventies, and those in their eighties tend to diminish this function. However, the longing remains through the years.
