Abstract

The article intends to present the current and revolutionary thinking of the educator Anísio Teixeira on the democratic, citizen and full time public school. It reports on the successful experience of Escola Parque de Salvador, an anisian creation, considered as a reference in full-time education in Brazil and abroad, exposing the whole structure, the pedagogical proposal of the institution, the various centers, social educational actions developed for each of these centers and their respective social pedagogical objectives. It also demonstrates how the Escola Parque de Salvador contributes to the promotion of citizenship through education, using a wide bibliographical research of the national doctrine, with the intention of knowing the elaborated works on the subject, as well as, its current stage of study
