Abstract
The family and the school are institutions responsible for the performance of individuals in training. Socially it is expected that both spheres of protection contribute to the development of citizens aware of their responsibility from values capable of transforming themselves and the society they integrate. In this study find investigate what the form an familiars dynamics can interfere of student performance the 1st year of Chemistry Course of IFBA – Campus Salvador. In order to promote the debate about familiars dynamics and student performance, find know the look do student of the Institute Federal of Education. For this purpose, the research presented is about one case study, of a qualitative nature who craved contemplate methodological procedures that are associated with the “camp study”, which aim to bring together participatory empirical observations of school daily life. As the main data collection instrument, an individual record entitled "Me and my family" was applied, in which students were encouraged to describe important events that have occurred in their family environment in the last eight years. As a result we can see reports of remarkable family events such as separates, family conflicts, bullying, which influence behaviors and depression, suicidal self-injury ideation, among others that made us reflect that in addition common problems that happen in school day-to-day, and that lead to unsatisfactory school performances such as a deficient schooling, the lack of interest of the student and the lack of study, the performances are also influenced by inherent factors family nucleus and its dynamics, which can interfere with school performance, concentration and dedication of students.
