Ten articles published in the period 2009-2018, from the Virtual Health Library databases, were included. RESULTS: Based on the evaluation of the research data, the educational practices developed by the Permanent Education in Health, the advances and difficulties faced by the teams were highlighted. Final considerations: Although it is aware of the indispensability of implementing the National Policy on Continuing Education in Health, it is perceived that in practice it is a reality far from being fully fulfilled.
