Abstract

The work "SENSITIZATION FOR ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION: SELECTIVE COLLECTION IN SCHOOL" systematizes pedagogical experience that aimed to approach the selective collection in the school, aiming at the formation of habits for the preservation of the environment through recycling. The implementation strategy contemplated the involvement and commitment of the students of the Edvaldo Brandão Correia State College (CEEBC) of the Business Administration course of Integrated Vocational Education to High School (EPI), as mediators to awaken the sensitivity of the subjects, which are part of the school community of the referred college, regarding the treatment and destination of waste generated by school activities. Activities and pedagogical practices were developed, aimed at behavior changes in relation to the management and destination of waste. The result achieved is that the school community has become more aware of the situation in the environment where it lives and lives, acquiring habits and attitudes that are responsible and committed to caring for the environment
