Item O abrigo, a criança e a família: caminhos da reinserção familiar(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2019-02-25) Cardoso, Lorena Márcia Nascimento; Bastos, Ana Cecília de Sousa Bittencourt; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Ferriz, Adriana Freire Pereira; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Souza, Cinthia Barreto Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Rabinovich, Elaine Pedreira; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Lima, Isabel Maria Sampaio Oliveira; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Alcântara, Miriã Alves Ramos de; http://lattes.cnpq.brThe social and familiar aspects related to the removal of children from their homes and, in some cases, the family life, put on the scene the situation of vulnerability in which are found many Brazilian families. In this scenario we have the institutional reception of children in shelters and the mechanisms that operate directly in the process of family reintegration. On this, our research object is the perspective of technical professionals that have been or are monitoring sheltered children and their families in the process of reintegration. We have the following research question: What family reality is unveiled throughout a process of reintegration of sheltered children in their families and how do the institution’s technical professional experience this process? To answer it, we have raised as main goal: i) analyze the track of family reintegration considering the context of the institution and of the sheltered child’s family of origin, in the perspective of technical professionals that operate this modality of reception. And, as specifics: ii) map the types of intervention/receptions targeted to the sheltered child’s family made by the shelter’s technical professionals, discussing the elements that interfere on reintegration; iii) identify the context’s conditions (house and family’s structure) to a successful reintegration, in the perspective of the shelter’s technical professionals; iv) analyze the relation of the shelter’s technical professionals with the child’s family and other systems that are part of the social and legal assistance to child protection network, facing the possibility of reintegration in family of origin; and v) analyze the meaning of institutional reception of children and family reintegration to shelter’s technical professionals. This is a qualitative research, with the design of a multiple case study (Yin, 2003; 2005; 2015). Half structured interviews were carried out with six professionals that operate or have operated as technicians in institutional childcare service, in the city of Salvador- BA. The data analysis was based on the construction of categories based on the bio-ecological model of Bronfenbrenner (1979/1996). The following were used as theoretical contributions: Bioecological Theory of Human Development (Bronfenbrenner, 1979/1996, 1989, 1993, 1998, 2004, 2011; Bronfenbrenner & Morris, 1998) and the Family Systemic Structural Theory (Minuchin, 1966/1990; Minuchin, P., Colapinto & Minuchin, 1999; 2011; Minuchin & Fishman, 2003), with the purpose of substantiating the analysis and understanding of the data. Thus, we conclude that the institutional reception of children composes a complex territory and the data obtained allowed us to access this reality through the perspective, coming from a professional trajectory, that sometimes was intertwined and confused with the trajectory of life.Item Abuso sexual infantil: preparados, senhores bacháreis?(Universidade Catolica de Salvador, 2016-01-28) Caribé, Júlia de Barros; Lima, Isabel Maria Sampaio Oliveira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4133901855237809; Prado, Alessandra Rapassi Mascarenhas; Ristum, Marilena; Alcântara, Miriã Alves Ramos deHuman rights and health issues are directly interconnected when dealing with the sexual abuse of children. As a result, a truly interdisciplinary approach is required to deal with this issue. Child sexual abuse is a complex phenomenon and calls for a multi-approach education for legal professionals to prevent additional harm to the victim and her family. The multidisciplinary interaction of the professionals involved with the protection of the child victim of sexual abuse is essential to the effectiveness of reducing harm, interrupting the cycle of violence, rebuilding family ties and to preventing the re-victimization of the child. It begins with the assumption that the curriculum offered by Institutions of Higher Learning (acronym IES in Portuguese) in law schools in the state of Bahia do not have the interdisciplinary nature necessary for the education of future legal professionals to deal with issues related to the full protection of the child victim of intrafamilial sexual abuse. This research issue is based on the following question: how does legal education promote the education of the legal professional from an interdisciplinary perspective of the full protection of the child victim of intrafamilial sexual abuse? The overall objective of the study is to analyze legal education from an interdisciplinary perspective to guarantee the full protection of the child victim of intrafamilial sexual abuse. The specific objectives are: a) to analyze intrafamilial sexual abuse and its subjective implications regarding the victim and family; b) to discuss Brazilian legal education from an interdisciplinary perspective and its impact on the full protection of the child victim of intrafamilial sexual abuse. A qualitative approach was taken and the research is associated with historical materialism and dialectical materialism. This includes a literature review, legislative review, and field research with semi-structured surveys of legal professionals practicing in the area of child protection. Data analysis was performed using the hermaneutic-dialectic model. Results showed that the current legal education model does not promote a humane education that focuses on social questions. The importance of interdisciplinarity in legal education is highlighted, an education which currently focuses on the letter of the law. In order to deal with intrafamilial sexual abuse, the legal system needs ethical professionals who are capable of responding effectively to the challenges in these times of social change. To this end, the IES should provide its students with the opportunity to develop abilities, competencies and sensibilities that are aligned with the increasing dissemination of the idea of interdisciplinarity.Item Adolescente-mãe em conflito com a lei: vivência da maternidade em cumprimento de medida socioeducativa(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2011) Almeida, Nadir Oliveira Galrão Leite de; Lima, Isabel Maria Sampaio Oliveira; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Alcântara, Miriã Alves Ramos de; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Iriart, Mirela Figueiredo SantosThis research aims to investigate the meanings of the experience of motherhood as lived by adolescent mothers in conflict with the law who are institutionalized under socio-educational measures, based on interviews carried out during field work in the Socio-Educational Services Community (CASE/SSA) that integrates the Children and Adolescents’ Foundation in the State of Bahia (FUNDAC/BA). The objective was to examine the transition to motherhood with a focus on pregnancy, child care and education as well as the emotional and sexual experiences, and the impact of the institutionalization measures for motherhood. Five selected teenagers participated in the research using the criteria of motherhood under socio-educational measures of institutionalization. We interviewed two educators of measure in order to contextualize the practices and standards of CASE. And the sample is intentionally nonrandom qualitative, it is not statistically representative of the phenomenon of teenage pregnancy nor the profile of youth who commits an infraction, but informative about the circumstances of the offense, family life, sexual and reproductive health of the adolescent participants. The interview applied to the adolescents, specifically designed to achieve the objectives of the study, consists of seven topics related to school life, family, and criminal record and sexual affective, including, teenage motherhood. The interview applied to the educators included questions that highlight their perspective on the seven dimensions of the experience of young motherhood in compliance with institutionalization measures. Taken from the meanings of contrast between recurrent and unique, the data shows that the experience of motherhood in this context is specular in the face of womanhood and class, in which social exclusion is aggravated by low educational levels.Item (Ama)mentar: representações sociais e familiares de profissionais enfermeiras de uma maternidade soteropolitana(Universidade Catolica de Salvador, 2013-07-29) Cesarino, Andréia Severo; Galvão, Dulce Maria Pereira Garcia; Cavalcanti, Vanessa Ribeiro Simon; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6538283866214716; Barbosa, Claudia de Faria; Alcântara, Miriã Alves Ramos deBreastfeeding is a subject that branches between myths and symbols. Anyway determining an intersection between natural and cultural conditioning. Major ideological changes have happened over the origin of man, which made breastfeeding, floating between the disgusting / unacceptable to the ideal / acclaimed company. Some of these paradigms are still part of the current story, by perpetuating intergenerational. Being the family institution essential to the life of the individual, this social phenomenon, it can influence women postpartum and lactating phase, moment of vulnerability, uncertainty with fear of making mistakes. Breastfeeding involves issues related to women as: body, liberation, marriage, public space / private. Themes that are listed, and end up determining such practice. This research aims to understand the social representations of midwives about breastfeeding as they rework their way to watch other women who face the process of breastfeeding. Therefore, we describe here frustrating experiences and victorious, that permeate breastfeeding. From a support of the humanities, were interviewed eight-women/nurse-midwives/moms, who experienced breastfeeding regardless of the effective time of this practice, and working with MS in a public maternity hospital in Salvador, Bahia. Study with a qualitative approach to data collection using semi-structured interview. Interviews sought to focus during the narratives about how pregnancy occurred, the nursing process and how the family interacted with all of these events. The results showed that the interviewees experienced great difficulties in breastfeeding initiation: a frustration with not performing, with other victories. However, there was no exclusive breastfeeding for six months as recommended. Families possessed a key role, as a network to support this practice by encouraging or discouraging breastfeeding. The social representation of breastfeeding for this group is intrinsic to the maternal love and motherhood. To do so, we took as basis the study of capital, poverty and family, representing three categories that occupy remarkable dimensions in the study of social sciences in particular, and in almost all other areas of knowledge. The capital, which is a central thesis of this paper, lined up the importance it has today only since the 1980s and has been widely examined as to their existence, their concepts, paradigm in building toward maturity, model analytical and applications in the real world, with the contribution of a large number of authors, national and international, pointing to the fight against poverty and living up to their status instrument that embodies the object of research. Already addressing poverty was designed around two axes: the first deals with poverty as a problem for knowledge, involving different concepts around the topic and bringing measurements that give an approximate idea of their extent and significance, and point the direction of the concrete measures and programs geared to their effective coping. The second axis consists of working poverty as a problem for the action, including social protection and public policies that build their quantitative reduction as an important element of the performance of State and other organizations in that particular field. We examined texts by important authors who have studied the subject in the context of various areas of knowledge they represent, rising data and information about community programs and projects successful, virtuous, to overcome poverty through the use of social capital, both in Brazil and in other countries, synthesizing this process of dealing with the problem as a matter inserted in the struggle for human rights and sustainable economic-social-environmental on the planet. The family, who in the postwar period came to be regarded as an outdated institution, for lack of functionality in modern times has resumed its role as a social subject indispensable to welcome and care for children and the elderly, as a reference for its members and partner essential for the implementation of public policy / social. It is worth noting the importance of family planning and execution of projects of life, starting point so you can glimpse an effective fight against poverty. The life project aims to immediate improvement of education, health, housing and employment and is located in direct opposition to the survival strategies that are concerned only with the immediate needs. The family is of fundamental role in the composition of this thesis work, especially on the approach of the constructive potential of what has been termed Family Social Capital, a still embryonic notion that shows promising perspectives in regard to fighting poverty through the relational goods produced personal relationships, own unique, established by family members in their scope and in the community context in which it is established.Item O casal e as relações de parentesco por afinidade: os sogros(Universidade Catolica de Salvador, 2015-11-20) Neves, Sinara Dantas; Rabinovich, Elaine Pedreira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1594550972937138; Cerveny, Ceneide Maria de Oliveira; Silva, Célia Nunes; Alcântara, Miriã Alves Ramos de; Costa, Lívia Alessandra Fialho daCan experiments with relationship by marriage experienced by the couple in their original families clarify how relations with kinship affinity are presented in the current married life? This study analyzes the resulting repercussions of experiences with kinship by marriage the couple lived in their original families in building these relationships in the current married life, focusing on the parents-in-laws. It is a qualitative study, with multiple cases study design from a reasoned approach to systemic epistemology. Semi-structured interviews with three couples were held individually in a convenience sample, based on the following inclusion criteria: be between 25 and 45 years old; be middle class; be heterosexual; present degree of high school or university education; be first conjugal union; have both parents alive, and have children. Data were initially analyzed individually, case by case, based on what emerged from the talks, then grouped from unusual aspects obtained through the constant comparative method. The results refer to recurring issues such as: issue of housing and border revision; spouses as mediators between the partner and their relationship by marriage; in-laws as grandparents; strengthening the "absolute I". These results confirm the intergenerational transmission of wedding interaction patterns of parents for couples investigated, showing a tendency to repetition by gender, by at least one of the spouses. These interactions processes reveal the existence of a set of interests from the original families, in the role of grandparents as a way to keep the new couple attached to them, which deserves to be carefully studied.Item Conflito familiar e mediação: por uma efetiva resolução das controvérsias matizadas por contornos de alienação parental(Universidade Catolica de Salvador, 2016-11-18) Bomfim, Ana Paula Rocha do; Lima, Isabel Maria Sampaio Oliveira; Bastos, Ana Cecília de Sousa Bittencourt; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7406825750662792; Corrêa, José Rossini Campos do Couto; Val, Eduardo Manoel; Braga, Ana Lívia Carvalho Figueiredo; Alcântara, Miriã Alves Ramos deThis thesis presents and analyzes the interconnection between family conflict and the Parental Alienation Syndrome, given the reach had by effective conflict resolutions that aim to define legal boundaries to the protection of children and adolescents, considering the new family models in place, thereby uncovering the nuances that are inherent to such conflicts, and pondering the recourse of mediation as a valid path. It makes use of bibliographical, documentary, case precedent and empirical data analyses by means of interviews and surveys, from a methodological perspective based on an understanding and application of Law that is in line with the normative principles of the 1988 Brazilian Constitution and other legal instruments. This work, therefore, includes the alienation debate (concepts, characteristics, themodus operandi of conflicts resulting from child and adolescent custody disputes) and the appropriate means to settle such controversies, as well as the repercussions brought by legal education to the general order of things. This research then presents its findings wherein parental alienation is a matter of concern, given the need to re-signify family conflicts due to the damage caused to those involved in an inevitably ongoing parental relationship, and the fine-tuning of family mediation practice as a way to settle disputes of this nature.Item A conjugalidade de pais com filhos diagnosticados com paralisia cerebral: entre a afetividade e suporte social(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2015-09-10) Veloso, Luciana Trindade; Alcântara, Miriã Alves Ramos de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4186283459709800; Rabinovich, Elaine Pedreira; Oliveira, Tereza Cristina deThe discussion about the couple of couples who have children with Cerebral Palsy r epresents a great challenge and a harvest important for studies on the family directions, the affection became the nucleus around which its members gather and provide feedback your desire to be together. Despite the CP bring emotional overload for the family, especially for the mother, the couple's difficulties are not determined by stress that the care of the child with CP determines, but rather by their own everyday experiences.Item Conjugalidade em mulheres da camada popular(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2011-11-23) Grillo, Susana Maria Levien; Rabinovich, Elaine Pedreira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/; Alcântara, Miriã Alves Ramos de; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Reis, Lilian Perdigão Caixêta; http://lattes.cnpq.brThis study aims at identifying the context in which the married life of popular layer women in Salvador, occurs, and to amplify comprehension of conjugality. Seven local women have been interviewed by using a qualitative studying approach. In order to do that, a semi-structured questionary that explores describing and identifying situations related to conjugality has been used. The method used for this analysis was the derivation of the interview contents, aiming at the creation of categories. The results were grouped in two main axis, which were subdivided in three categories: First axis: tensions context, with the categories: aggressiveness; maternity; ambivalence in the confrontation; and the second axis: ways of resolution, consisting of: the presence of the man; supporting web; ways of facing the conjugal situation; re-marriage. The interviewees reported romantic life experiences that led them choose their partners, struggling to keep their relationships, although based in week ties, leading to a traditional and successive marital idea. Pregnancy has shown to be an important generating source of marital problems, encouraged by the aggressiveness and violence between couples over jealousy, drug abuse and infidelity. Suffering from contradictory feelings and humiliations, they look for support among their family members, institutions, police departments and churches. Maternity shows to be the reason of changes in married life. However, it is not verbalized as the source of tensions in married life, and it is faced as part of conjugality. The frequent re-marriage or exchanges of partners have happened for of the need of economical supporting, for the education of their kids and for moral and physical protection. Therefore, these women seem immersed in a cultural context where traditional values coexist with modern ones generating models of conjugality to be better known.Item Conjugalidade na família com adolescentes(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2013-02-20) Vilas-Boas, Patrícia Caldeira de Queiroz; Alcântara, Miriã Alves Ramos de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/; Bastos, Ana Cecília de Souza Bittencourt; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Silva, Célia Nunes; http://lattes.cnpq.brIn the systemic approach, the Family is considered an organized whole, which parts relates to each other as well as they are independent. Thus, this article has the general objective of analyze and discuss issues concerning to adolescents’ children families, related to the conjugality process of the parents along with the children development, using as support the systemic approach to family analysis and keys concepts such as intergerationality, boundaries and differentiation. As specific objectives, identify and describe the interaction and influence of families of origin of the partners on dealing with marital and parental matters; Analyze the relation of marital and parental subsystems involved in the transition to adolescence; to discuss the repercussions of the firstborn child adolescence on the marital relation of the parents. The study meets the requirements for research with humans and only after obtaining the approval of the ethics committee on research, were selected and interviewed four couples living in the city of Salvador, with firstborn sons adolescents based on semi-structured genogram and in order to reconstitute the family history, their patterns and relational processes. The couples were selected based on the following inclusion criteria: first marriage, the couple's eldest son has between 12 and 17 years of age, partners with college degree. The results show that couples with lower degree of differentiation of self from their family of origin tend to super or sub scale conflicts arising from the transition from child to adolescent phase. Concerning to intergenerational and boundaries, it was found that the individual history of each partner with their respective family of origin, the agreements made and the roles assigned influence in how marital issues are conducted, resulting in the perception of the adolescent stage of children as something critical, as well as in replacing the conjugal for the parental role. Among the participants, the dialogue between marital and parental subsystems perception of boundaries arose from automatic responses - repetition or rejection of pre-established standards. These results point to the need for further exploration of the topic, since there is an interaction between marital and parental subsystems and family of origin influences not only the development of children, but also the relation of parents as partners.Item Costurando as redes de cuidado de crianças com paralisia cerebral(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2011-10-20) Almeida, Camila Ferrari de; Rabinovich, Elaine Pedreira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/; Alcântara, Miriã Alves Ramos de; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Franco, Anamélia Lins e Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.brCerebral Palsy is a disorder characterized by movement impairment secondary to a non-progressive lesion of the brain in early stages of its development. Among the many possible presentations within this diagnosis, there is a spastic quadriplegic type, in which it is expected severe motor implication that makes impossible the ability to walk and have many associated comorbidities. This condition requires attention of the caregiver throughout the person's life because of his/her dependence. The mother is, in general, who usually assumes the role of caregiver. The present work aims to understand the process of caring for children with severe neurological disease considering the composition and function of the mother's social network, and where Rehabilitation team stands in this context. The survey was conducted with five participants, mothers of children cared by SARAH Network of Rehabilitation Hospitals - unit Salvador. As data collection instrument, semi-structured interviews and network map application were used. The analysis was performed taking into consideration Bioecological Human Development theory. It was observed that mothers went through an ecological transition which began right after the children with cerebral palsy's birth, considering the PPCT model (person, process, context and time). All mothers left their work and / or educational activities. The person's social network was reduced and, at the present, it is restricted to family, especially the female figures such as children's grandmothers and aunts, few friends and the Rehabilitation team. The way it appears, the personal social network seems to be fragile and overloaded of work, as the participant accumulates functions and attributions. Mothers reported fatigue and social isolation, but draw attention mainly to the feeling of loneliness. This context puts the caregivers in a position of vulnerability to physical and mental diseases. These results indicate the need of supporting the mother on the carrying process and show the importance of the family and the Rehabilitation Center in the process.Item O cuidar dos avós visto pelos netos em idade escolar(Universidade Catolica de Salvador, 2016-03-04) Azambuja, Rosa Maria da Motta; Rabinovich, Elaine Pedreira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1594550972937138; Motta, Alda Brito da; Dias, Cristina Maria de Souza Brito; Ramos, Maria da Conceição Pereira; Ramos, Maria Natália Pereira; Alcântara, Miriã Alves Ramos deThis study takes as its focus grandparent caregivers as seen by schoolchildren, based on the Bioecological Theory of Human Development. This theory assumes the standpoint of the analysis of the person, process, context and time, by observing the interaction between the dyad adult/child. In order to understand the bonding circumstances and reciprocal positions between grandparents and grandchildren, through the eyes of grandchildren and based on the bio-socio-historical context, multiple case studies were performed in a private school with middle- and low-income students, located in the city of Salvador. The study, submitted and approved by the Committee of Ethics in Research, included six elementary school students, three female and three male, between the ages of six and nine years, along with their grandparents. From basic questions about how the grandchildren view the significance of their relationship with grandparents, and how intergenerational relations with grandparents may differ by gender as to the development of personal and social education, four procedures were performed: interviews with the grandchildren using instruments of educational perspective (circle of conversation and album of images); and analyses of the interaction between grandparents and grandchildren using psycho-pedagogic instruments (game boxes) and those of systems theory (shared game). The main results show that the meaning of grandparents varies according to the mode of co-habitation, for the full-time caring for grandchildren, the grandparents were seen as caretakers; for the systematic, as companions; and the sporadic, as pranksters. There was a difference in intergenerational relationships according to gender: In order to interact with their grandchildren, women perform activities in internal spaces with educational and electronic games, while men prefer activities that occur in external spaces, such as parlor games or football on the beach. Thus, understanding the child as a family member and as the object of care corresponds to a vision of development as molar, in which, for the children, being taking care of involves close articulation with coexistence and interaction.Item De casa para a rua e da rua para casa: implicações e interações família e trabalho(Universidade Catolica de Salvador, 2012-02-23) Souza, Cinthia Barreto Santos; Souza, Cinthia Barreto Santos; Moreira, Lúcia Vaz de Campos; http://buscatextual.cnpq.br/buscatextual/visualizacv.do?id=K4791081H2; Alcântara, Miriã Alves Ramos de; http://buscatextual.cnpq.br/buscatextual/visualizacv.do?id=K4761248U7; Reis, Lilian Perdigão Caixêta; http://buscatextual.cnpq.br/buscatextual/visualizacv.do?id=K4702977A4This research titled “From Home to the Street and from the Street to Home: Family and Work Implications and Interactions has as aim to identify how couples with little children organize themselves to conciliate family, marriage life, care with the sons and professional fulfillment. It consists of an argumentative strategy that shows the interdependence between the idea of individuals, families and sexualities in contemporary times. The interdisciplinary theoretical framework to seek refuge in Social Psychology and the Social Sciences not neutral in terms of gender. Generating questions summon: What is to be individual? And which results in contemporary conviction that appointment? That sexuality is spoken? What is family? A qualitative methodological design with the technique of multiple case studies highlights the social representations of three (03) participants families residing in the city of Salvador,BA: Sigma family consisting of father mother and two daughters, the Delta family, stepfather, mother and daughter. And the Gama family, consisting of mother and child. There are six women and three men aged between 27 and 64 years old, educated and belong to the urban middle social segment. The life story was the technique that took the main data, analyzed by the technique of discourse analysis. The thesis presents the proposal of the intertwining between contracts and adds the knowledge of individuals, families and sexualities, with representations and life stories of mothers, fathers, son and daughters, their experiences in childhood, youth, dating, romantic relationships, sexual, marriage and remarriage. The results indicate that nowadays the 'contracting individuals' are fragmented. There are conflicting sexualities named for historical perspectives and scripted sexualities. The idea of sexuality and families are chanceladas by interlace of contracts. The intertwining of the social contract with sexual widen understanding of the different ways that present individuals, families and sexualities. There interlace echoes of contracts in rules and regulations that involve building links, feelings, and seems to create a kind of league in the relations between the sexes. Theoretically it is my suggestion that interlace the echoes of the social contract with the sexual are in gender relations among individuals, families and sexualities. The Sigma families, Delta and Gamma seem very close to interlace and outcome of contracts. But does not mean that social individuals are completely intertwined. Its action may be in and out of that intertwine, undermining its hegemony, giving rise to the problem, the complaint of an asymmetric condition of social life.Item Envolvimento do pai/padrasto com seus filhos e enteados em famílias recasadas de classe média de Aracaju/Sergipe(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2017-12-18) Socorro, Tatiana de Carvalho; Moreira, Lúcia Vaz de Campos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6538283866214716; Dias, Cristina Maria de Souza Brito; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Pontes, Vivian Volkmer; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Barbosa, Camilo de Lelis Colani; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Alcântara, Miriã Alves Ramos de; http://lattes.cnpq.brThis doctoral thesis aims at analyzing the involvement of the father/stepfather with his children/stepchildren, from the perspective of the father/stepfather and of his current wife/partner, in remarried middle-class families from Aracaju/Sergipe. To achieve it, a multiple-case study was conducted with six couples from a remarried family, who were cohabiting in a civil or consensual union, for at least two years, and lived in a middle-class neighborhood of Aracaju / Sergipe. In addition, the participant had higher education level, was stepfather and father of a child or children from a previous marital union. For the data collection, a semi-structured interview script was constructed, in which the chosen participants were selected for accessibility. Recorded interviews were held in a place of convenience for the participants. The recordings were transcribed, and the data analyzed descriptively. The study was approved by the Research Ethics Committee of the Catholic University of Salvador - UCSal, and the fathers/stepfathers and their current spouses/partners agreed to collaborate with the study by signing the Informed Consent Form (TCLE). The main results pointed out that they interfere in the paternal involvement with their children from previous marital unions: the father wishes and tries to maintain the relationship with the children; the ex-wife makes difficult the contact of the children with the father; support from the family of origin; the father had lived with the children before the divorce and lived daily with them after the separation; living with the father after the divorce; and the longer time of remarriage. On the aspects that influence the involvement of the stepfathers with stepchildren, it was identified: the biological father has little contact with the child or is absent; stepfather lives with the stepson; the support of the family of origin and of the current spouse/partner; the time of coexistence and cohabitation; the authority of the stepfather legitimized by the mother; characteristics of the stage of adolescence of the stepchild; the desire of the stepfather and of the stepson to interact; and the biological father does not pay alimony. In most cases, there was a high involvement between stepfathers and stepchildren, in terms of interaction and availability; and in one case only the involvement between them was low due to the presence of the biological father in the stepchild's life and the conflicts between father and stepfather. Most stepfathers consider themselves responsible for the education and care of the stepchild, except for two of them, in which the mother takes such responsibilities and provides financial support for the stepchildren. Thus, stepfathers assumed several of the functions commonly attributed to biological fathers, but they were unclear as to the limits of their role. In the remarried family, the conjugal role was present in all the interviewed couples, however, the parental function was differentiated among them, since the stepfathers were classified as: Substitute Father, Claimant Stepfather, and Stepfather Friend. In addition, analyzing paternity in a divorce situation implies considering the diversity of family relationships involved. In turn, the stepfather does not have a socially defined role and his performance will depend on numerous variables previously pointed out. It is concluded that parenting in the remarried family is complex and requires further studies on its specificities.Item A experiência de familiares de usuários abusivos de drogas na perspectiva da família e de operadores da assistência(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2019-04-30) Santos, Vera Lúcia Silva; Alcântara, Miriã Alves Ramos de; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Neves, Sinara Dantas; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Marques, Mirian Ribeiro; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Santos, José Eduardo Ferreira; http://lattes.cnpq.brTo think of the Family is to reflect the complexity inherent in this relational system. Understanding the abusive drug user's family implies considerations about social situations that transcend family relationships and that directly affect the same context. It has been identified that there are laws, resolutions and regulations that indicate the State's concern to help families who experience suffering due to the use of drugs by a relative, be it brother, husband, father, mother, etc. Faced with subjective inquiries about the roles of the State and the family, the objective of this study was to analyze how family experiences are considered with an abusive user member of drugs by the family itself and by professional social workers and psychologists, direct operators of the devices of the Unified Health System and the Single System of Social Assistance. A non-profit institution, CAFVIDA was created in the period of the research, created to exclusively serve families of users of alcohol and abusive drugs and dependent chemists. The present study is qualitative, descriptive and exploratory in character. All the work was done in the city of Salvador, and sought the natural environment of the workers and residents of this capital. Data collection was done through a semi-structured interview, which was recorded and later transcribed. The results validated the perception of policies that seek to contemplate the families that experience the problem and that they contrast with the representations of the direct service operators. It also revealed the contradictory perception of the family itself about the context that it experiences.Item A experiência de mães de crianças com cardiopatia congênita: o processo de diagnóstico, tratamento e hospitalização(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2009-06-11) Veiga, Isis Nunes; Franco, Anamélia Lins e Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/; Bastos, Ana Cecília de Souza Bittencourt; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Alcântara, Miriã Alves Ramos de; http://lattes.cnpq.brThis study aimed to analyze the experience of mothers of children with congenital heart disease along the diagnostic process, treatment and pre- and post-surgery periods of hospitalization. This topic has been addressed in the literature by phenomenological and psychoanalytic approaches and by models of coping. This study explored the difficulties related to symptoms of illness, hospitalization and changes in the roles played by the mother as a member of the family. Analysis of diagnostic process and treatment, and their impact on the daily lives of mothers was based on concepts proposed by Bronfenbrenner. This is a qualitative research in which fifteen mothers aged twenty-one and thirty-eight years were interviewed. Data collection was performed through semi-structured interviews, guided by open questions addressing issues such as fears related to the disease, changes in family and marriage routines. Analysis was conducted from two perspectives: the contents of the interviews and the concepts proposed by the bioecological model of Human Development. The analysis of the interviews’ contents indicates that the mothers’ daily life undergoes changes due to frequent hospitalizations and the limitations imposed by the disease and its treatment. It was observed that the mother is the closest person to the child during diagnosis, treatment and hospitalization, and is glad to be allowed to monitor and keep watch on her child through these procedures. Most mothers reported positive changes in their marriage, and highlighted the support and care offered by the child’s father. From the point of view of the bioecological model, results showed changes at the four environmental levels in which the mothers participate. The microenvironment of the mother is now composed of relationships with health professionals, and staying in the hospital to take care of her child exemplifies a dyad of observation. The joint activity dyad is affected when the mother is deprived of caring for the child in the ICU, but a strengthening of this dyad may occur through the satisfactory development of the child. Primary dyads were composed of mothers and health care professionals. Mothers give up work in order to care of the child, which evidences mesosystemic interferences. Mothers’ daily life is subjected to hospital rules and routines, in addition to requirements of the treatment, with repercussions on their exosystem. At the macrosystemic level, it was observed that mothers only got acquainted with structural conditions of the Brazilian health system after the diagnosis and treatment of their children.Item Família e cidadania ambiental: uma ponte para o desenvolvimento sustentável(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2013-03-18) Ferreira, Ana Conceição Barbuda Sanches Guimarães; Alcântara, Miriã Alves Ramos de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/; Lima, Isabel Maria Sampaio Oliveira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/; Menezes, José Euclimar Xavier de; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Nobre, Sayonara; http://lattes.cnpq.brThis study sought to develop in the context of discussions about the environment and building a sense of environmental citizenship, calling like conductive strands the family in the formation of environmental awareness through environmental education for sustainable development. This text aims to discuss the family as the agent of development of ecological awareness reference, able to build values that guarantee the preservation of exhaustible natural resources across of the state of degradation. The entitlement to an ecologically balanced environment is a fundamental right as is prescribed in art .225 of the Constitution of Brazil , right for everyone that depends of the State and the community to be effective. The environmental issues led a formation of a new paradigm, whereby changes of thinking and attitude began to view the environment from the perspective of protection . Brought up, then settled into a new ethics pillars for an environmental education which seeks to implement a practice that fosters the harmonious coexistence of human beings with nature. In this way of learning, environmental education is an indispensable tool to build a sense of citizenship, social transformation and in making decisions regarding environmental policy. Sustainability is the hub of environmental issues and the environment, interdisciplinary object. As soon as you promote sustainable development, it will expand the sense of being a citizen. We used qualitative methodological strategy through the procedures of the review of scientific literature and law, as well as raising academic production strict sensu on two subjects: ” National citizenship and Environmental Sustainability” and “Citizenship and Family”. The results from the survey reveal that, in the 1988 Constitution, and against the growing importance of fundamental rights, which increasingly permeate all areas of the legal system, the notion of citizenship is intrinsically related to a new vision of law, ethics and education, calling for a new social consciousness. Family is the space, in the highest degree, for the teaching of acting carefully, that will transmit the full exercise of citizenship environmental, striving for intergenerational solidarity. It follows that we must reflect on environmental issues as a way to build a sustainable society for future generations, without leave to offer to the present breed the right to quality of life. Laws enacted and scientific works produced demonstrate that the fundamental right will not be achieved without being internalized the ethical values which can be built on property with family relationship. In this journey of awareness of the family emerges as the first place of formation of human beings, catalyst of virtues and values, including environmental.
