The transport system in Salvador has as main vectors the road and the subway, considered complementary means of mass transportation and with different functions. The subway operates the structuring routes of Line 1 (which connects Lapa Station to Pirajá Station) and Line 2 (which connects Access North Station to Airport Station). The road system serves the loading and emptying process of the main structuring routes (urban transit routes). This dissertation aims to demonstrate the imbalance in the integration of these two modes of public transportation, focusing on the system on Line 2 of the Metro, in five of the twelve stations existing on this line from the relation travel time from origin to destination, number of departures on the route and expenses with tickets in the use of the modes of transport offered. As a methodology, a review of the concepts found in the literature and publications related to the theme of mobility and urban development was carried out, a survey by Organs regulatory bodies of the mass transportation of Salvador and a field survey with users of the Metro. As main results, we have the level of integration between the modes of transport studied, in addition to the degree of user satisfaction, saturation and idleness of transshipment stations, identification of a standard user of the metro Line 2.
