Item Análise da influência do nitrato de cálcio na germinação de sementes de rosa-do-deserto Adenium obesum (Forssk) Roem, Schult(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2019-06-12) Gomes, Irma do Nascimento; Gomes, Laíse Ferreira; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Menezes, Christiano Marcelino; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Pimenta Júnior, Francisco; http://lattes.cnpq.brAdenium obesum desert rose is a plant native to Africa, but has been gaining ground in many parts of the world. His search has been for examples of seeds, which form great sculptures when reaching adulthood, in addition to reaching high values in the market, causing producers to seek more and more information about the desert rose. There are currently few studies related to germination mechanisms and requirements of this species. This study aims to analyze the influence of calcium nitrate on the germination of desert rose seeds A. obesum. For the accomplishment of this work, the germination of the seeds in different concentrations of calcium nitrate (concentration 400 ml / liter) in the treatments was carried out in order to ascertain which results would be more efficient for the germinative process. The total germination, germination speed coefficient, seedling vigor, root length and seedlings were evaluated. At the end of 10 days the germination of 18 seeds (immersed in calcium nitrate) and 18 seeds (control group) can be noted. The total germination presented a 90% rate, and by the CVG test, the germination speed of the seeds was similar. The seeds were considered vigorous, but the calcium nitrate dosage may have been very high, slowing the development of desert rose seedlingsItem Aspectos da vegetação de um trecho da planície fluvial do rio Imbassaí, litoral norte, Bahia, Brasil(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2007-10) Souza, Igor Rodrigo Silva; Menezes, Christiano Marcelino; UCSAL, Universidade Católica do SalvadorItem Avaliação da composição de espécies de macrófitas aquáticas em ecossistemaslênticos perenes do Parque das Dunas, Salvador - BA(Universidade Catolica de Salvador, 2016-08-31) Souza, Esthalin Moreira da Silva de; Tinôco, Moacir Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0433618384031837; Benati, Kátia Regina; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1202722851013635; Menezes, Christiano Marcelino; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0853917234652230; Peres, Marcelo César Lima; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1614799098745668The aquatic continental ecosystems represent a system still not well known and quite threatened by human action, especially the coastal areas which suffer from industrial, touristic and real estate speculation. The aquatic macrophytes are essential to the balance of the aquatic environment, because they support a large number of organisms and they respond well to different environmental gradients that are formed laterally along the spring. Considering the depletion of the water quality of hydric sources, especially in lentic ecosystems of the north coast of Bahia state, is increasing dramatically due to human actions. This study aims to evaluate the species composition of aquatic macrophytes in lentic ecosystems of Parque das Dunas, the last urban source of the dune ecosystem, lagoons and resting areas in Brazil. The floristic survey and collecting water samples were performed in all perennial ponds of the park between the months of November and December 2015. The floristic survey and water samples collecting were performed in all perennial ponds of the park between the months of November and December 2015. Five visits were made to the park, with eight hours per day, totalizing 40 hours of field activities. Forty species belonging to thirty-five genera and twenty-four families were recorded in the floristic inventory, and also the analysis of 8 physicochemical parameters. This work can verify the list of parameters to the species of aquatic plants, especially those related to organic matter, resulting in the identification of an advanced process of Eleocharis interstincta infestation at Lagoa do Jacaré and an initial process at Lagoa do Junco. These results are extremely important data that will help support programs to environmental planning and management of aquatic macrophytes in the park, and in flooded areas of restinga ecosystem. Beyond that, it was made the field guide of aquatic macrophytes of Parque das Dunas, which will have usability all along the north coast of Bahia state, once the species contained therein have a wide geographical distribution and the region has a large deficiency of specific materials for aquatic flora, thus the guide will assist environmental licensing work, management plans and recovery of water bodies.Item Evidências de um paleomangue no litoral norte da Bahia(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2005-10) Nogueira, Rafael Xavier de Souza; Menezes, Christiano Marcelino; UCSAL, Universidade Católica do SalvadorItem Inventário de mamíferos de pequeno e médio porte num fragmento de mata atlântica no município de Mata de São João, BA(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2019-12-10) Paulo, Kelvin Jesus de; Carvalho, Anderson Abbehusen Freire de; lattes.cnpq.br; Menezes, Christiano Marcelino; lattes.cnpq.br; Cabral, Vânia Lúcia Paim; lattes.cnpq.brItem Levantamento preliminar da flora em clareiras naturais em um fragmento de floresta higrófila costeira no 19º BC(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2007-10) Espinheira, Marcelo José Costa Lima; Silva, Vanessa Íris Silva da; Menezes, Christiano Marcelino; UCSAL, Universidade Católica do SalvadorItem Resgate e salvamento da flora sob área de influência direta do empreendimento reserva Imbassaí, Mata de São João, Bahia(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2005-10) Menezes, Christiano Marcelino; UCSAL, Universidade Católica do SalvadorItem Status dos estudos em fitossociologia nas restingas do Litoral Norte do Estado da Bahia(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2020-12-14) Cabral, Marcelo Henrique Guedes; Menezes, Christiano Marcelino; http://lattes.cnpq.br/; Gomes, Laíse Ferreira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/; Rocha, Raphael Rodrigues; http://lattes.cnpq.br/Item Utilização de plantas nativas na restauração ecológica de um ecossistema de restinga(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2017-02-17) Conceição, Suelen Rodrigues da; Menezes, Christiano Marcelino; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0853917234652230; Mourad, Laila Nazem; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8464508890621003; Tinôco, Moacir Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0433618384031837; Leonelli, Gisela Cunha Viana; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0925768769790678The use of exotic plants in degraded areas is a reality worldwide. The second major cause of biodiversity loss is related to exotic species. With that said, encouraging the use of native plants in restoration of green areas can be a great ally for the environmental ENRICHMENT of native vegetation, maintenance and preservation of the ecosystem, improvement of the climate and aesthetics, and quality of life for the inhabitants of that area. Given this context, this study focus on proposing the use of native plants of the Parque das Dunas as a way of restoring degraded areas. For that, it was necessary to make a direct transplant of seedlings WITHIN the park to compose the high diversity islands. Twenty-two islands were arranged in total, in an area of 50 m², using 170 individuals composed of Anthurium affine Schott, Hohenbergia littoralis L.B.Sm., Epidendrum denticulatum Barb. Rodr., Cyrtopodium Paranaense Schltr., Syagrus schizophylla. (Mart.) Glassman. and Guapira pernanbucensis (Wed.) Lundell. Results showed that after six months from the start of the restoration process, 23.82% of the individuals emitted gems, and 90.59% of the species survived. The high survival rates obtained in the present study may be associated to the direct transplant technique, demonstrating that the rescue and management of the Restinga plant species can be favorable in face of the applied methodologies.
