Educação ambiental e sustentabilidade: práticas pedagógicas no ensino fundamental

This research aimed to analyze the extent to which the Pedagogical Practices developed by
different disciplines of Elementary Education in the Biodiversity Research Center of Colégio
Militar de Salvador awaken in the students a conscious environmental posture. Information
was sought about the challenges encountered when working with Pedagogical Practices with
themes related to the environmental sphere in schools, the importance of alternative spaces in
the school environment for the study of Environmental Education and whether this knowledge
related to the theme referred to forms conscious and active citizens in society to undertake
sustainable actions. The research methodology was of the exploratory documentary type, in
order to highlight the challenges faced by the institutions regarding the effectiveness of
Pedagogical Practices. Among the results found in greater focus, there was little insertion of
interdisciplinarity and transversality. For the other researches involved in this study, a
descriptive methodology was used, with technical case study procedures and qualitative and
quantitative approaches, with the application of an interview and semi-structured
questionnaire and the production of free design and texts with topics related to the pertinence
of conscious consumption for the protection of our planet. For this data collection, there was a
need to make a parameter with students - who experienced classes at the Biodiversity
Research Center -, which are the College tickets in the year 2019, and those who did not
experience classes in the space in question, tickets in the year 2020, which did not have face-
to-face classes due to the pandemic caused by the covid-19. As a result, a higher percentage
of awakening from a conscious environmental posture was observed for students who had
classes in the alternative space, with experiences and experiences of educational actions with
an environmental focus. It was also observed that the textual productions and the imagery
records using the environmental theme, were relevant for the analysis of the creativity,
reflection and environmental awareness of the students. The entire research was of an
investigative nature, presented in the form of three articles. In the first, the challenges faced
by the School in applying Pedagogical Practices of Environmental Education on the part of
the teachers are reported. In the second, which has students participating in the 7th year of
elementary school, it was assessed whether alternative spaces within the school environment
can contribute to Pedagogical Practices in Environmental Education. And, in the third, with
the same audience of students and a certain number of teachers, where it was analyzed
whether their knowledge in relation to the environmental and sustainability issues form
conscious and active citizens in society to develop sustainable actions to improve the
environment.
A presente pesquisa teve como objetivo analisar em que medida as Práticas Pedagógicas
desenvolvidas por diferentes disciplinas do Ensino Fundamental no Centro de Pesquisa da
Biodiversidade do Colégio Militar de Salvador despertam nos discentes uma postura
ambiental consciente. Buscaram-se informações sobre os desafios encontrados ao se trabalhar
Práticas Pedagógicas com temáticas voltadas à esfera ambiental nas escolas, a importância de
espaços alternativos no ambiente escolar para o estudo da Educação Ambiental e se esse
conhecimento relacionado à temática referida forma cidadãos conscientes e ativos na
sociedade para empreender ações sustentáveis. A metodologia de pesquisa foi do tipo
documental exploratória, a fim de evidenciar os desafios enfrentados pelas instituições quanto
à efetivação das Práticas Pedagógicas. Dentre os resultados encontrados em maior foco, foi a
pouca inserção da interdisciplinaridade e transversalidade. Utilizou-se, para as demais
pesquisas envolvidas aqui nesse estudo, uma metodologia de natureza descritiva, com
procedimentos técnicos de estudo de caso e abordagem qualitativas e quantitativas, com
aplicação de entrevista e questionário semiestruturado e produção de desenho livre e textos
com tópicos referentes à pertinência do consumo consciente para proteção do nosso
planeta. Para essa coleta de dados, houve a necessidade de se fazer um parâmetro com
alunos – que vivenciaram aulas no Centro de Pesquisa da Biodiversidade –, que são os
ingressos do Colégio no ano de 2019, e os que não vivenciaram aulas no espaço em questão,
os ingressos no ano de 2020, por conta da pandemia causada pela covid-19. Observaram-se
como resultados, maior percentagem no despertar de uma postura ambiental consciente para
os estudantes que tiveram aulas no espaço alternativo, com vivências e experiências de ações
educativas com enfoque ambiental. Atentaram-se também que as produções textuais e os
registros imagéticos utilizando a temática ambiental, foram pertinentes para análise da
criatividade, reflexão e conscientização ambiental dos discentes. Toda a pesquisa foi de
natureza investigativa, apresentada na forma de três artigos. No primeiro, são relatados os
desafios encontrados pela Escola em aplicar Práticas Pedagógicas de Educação Ambiental por
parte dos docentes. No segundo, que conta com alunos participantes do 7º ano do Ensino
Fundamental, foi avaliado se os espaços alternativos dentro do ambiente escolar podem
contribuir para as Práticas Pedagógicas de Educação Ambiental. E, no terceiro, com o mesmo
público de discentes e um determinado número de docentes, onde foi analisado se os
conhecimentos deles em relação à problemática ambiental e sustentabilidade formam
cidadãos conscientes e ativos na sociedade para desenvolver ações sustentáveis para melhoria
do meio ambiente.
