Item Abuso sexual infantil: preparados, senhores bacháreis?(Universidade Catolica de Salvador, 2016-01-28) Caribé, Júlia de Barros; Lima, Isabel Maria Sampaio Oliveira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4133901855237809; Prado, Alessandra Rapassi Mascarenhas; Ristum, Marilena; Alcântara, Miriã Alves Ramos deHuman rights and health issues are directly interconnected when dealing with the sexual abuse of children. As a result, a truly interdisciplinary approach is required to deal with this issue. Child sexual abuse is a complex phenomenon and calls for a multi-approach education for legal professionals to prevent additional harm to the victim and her family. The multidisciplinary interaction of the professionals involved with the protection of the child victim of sexual abuse is essential to the effectiveness of reducing harm, interrupting the cycle of violence, rebuilding family ties and to preventing the re-victimization of the child. It begins with the assumption that the curriculum offered by Institutions of Higher Learning (acronym IES in Portuguese) in law schools in the state of Bahia do not have the interdisciplinary nature necessary for the education of future legal professionals to deal with issues related to the full protection of the child victim of intrafamilial sexual abuse. This research issue is based on the following question: how does legal education promote the education of the legal professional from an interdisciplinary perspective of the full protection of the child victim of intrafamilial sexual abuse? The overall objective of the study is to analyze legal education from an interdisciplinary perspective to guarantee the full protection of the child victim of intrafamilial sexual abuse. The specific objectives are: a) to analyze intrafamilial sexual abuse and its subjective implications regarding the victim and family; b) to discuss Brazilian legal education from an interdisciplinary perspective and its impact on the full protection of the child victim of intrafamilial sexual abuse. A qualitative approach was taken and the research is associated with historical materialism and dialectical materialism. This includes a literature review, legislative review, and field research with semi-structured surveys of legal professionals practicing in the area of child protection. Data analysis was performed using the hermaneutic-dialectic model. Results showed that the current legal education model does not promote a humane education that focuses on social questions. The importance of interdisciplinarity in legal education is highlighted, an education which currently focuses on the letter of the law. In order to deal with intrafamilial sexual abuse, the legal system needs ethical professionals who are capable of responding effectively to the challenges in these times of social change. To this end, the IES should provide its students with the opportunity to develop abilities, competencies and sensibilities that are aligned with the increasing dissemination of the idea of interdisciplinarity.Item Adolescente-mãe em conflito com a lei: vivência da maternidade em cumprimento de medida socioeducativa(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2011) Almeida, Nadir Oliveira Galrão Leite de; Lima, Isabel Maria Sampaio Oliveira; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Alcântara, Miriã Alves Ramos de; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Iriart, Mirela Figueiredo SantosThis research aims to investigate the meanings of the experience of motherhood as lived by adolescent mothers in conflict with the law who are institutionalized under socio-educational measures, based on interviews carried out during field work in the Socio-Educational Services Community (CASE/SSA) that integrates the Children and Adolescents’ Foundation in the State of Bahia (FUNDAC/BA). The interview applied to the adolescents, specifically designed to achieve the objectives of the study, consists of seven topics related to school life, family, and criminal record and sexual affective, including, teenage motherhood. The interview applied to the educators included questions that highlight their perspective on the seven dimensions of the experience of young motherhood in compliance with institutionalization measures. Taken from the meanings of contrast between recurrent and unique, the data shows that the experience of motherhood in this context is specular in the face of womanhood and class, in which social exclusion is aggravated by low educational levels.Item (Ama)mentar: representações sociais e familiares de profissionais enfermeiras de uma maternidade soteropolitana(Universidade Catolica de Salvador, 2013-07-29) Cesarino, Andréia Severo; Galvão, Dulce Maria Pereira Garcia; Cavalcanti, Vanessa Ribeiro Simon; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6538283866214716; Barbosa, Claudia de Faria; Alcântara, Miriã Alves Ramos deBreastfeeding is a subject that branches between myths and symbols. Among the many possible presentations within this diagnosis, there is a spastic quadriplegic type, in which it is expected severe motor implication that makes impossible the ability to walk and have many associated comorbidities. This condition requires attention of the caregiver throughout the person's life because of his/her dependence. The mother is, in general, who usually assumes the role of caregiver. The present work aims to understand the process of caring for children with severe neurological disease considering the composition and function of the mother's social network, and where Rehabilitation team stands in this context. The survey was conducted with five participants, mothers of children cared by SARAH Network of Rehabilitation Hospitals - unit Salvador. As data collection instrument, semi-structured interviews and network map application were used. The analysis was performed taking into consideration Bioecological Human Development theory. It was observed that mothers went through an ecological transition which began right after the children with cerebral palsy's birth, considering the PPCT model (person, process, context and time). All mothers left their work and / or educational activities. The person's social network was reduced and, at the present, it is restricted to family, especially the female figures such as children's grandmothers and aunts, few friends and the Rehabilitation team. The way it appears, the personal social network seems to be fragile and overloaded of work, as the participant accumulates functions and attributions. Mothers reported fatigue and social isolation, but draw attention mainly to the feeling of loneliness. This context puts the caregivers in a position of vulnerability to physical and mental diseases. These results indicate the need of supporting the mother on the carrying process and show the importance of the family and the Rehabilitation Center in the process.Item De casa para a rua e da rua para casa: implicações e interações família e trabalho(Universidade Catolica de Salvador, 2012-02-23) Souza, Cinthia Barreto Santos; Souza, Cinthia Barreto Santos; Moreira, Lúcia Vaz de Campos; http://buscatextual.cnpq.br/buscatextual/visualizacv.do?id=K4791081H2; Alcântara, Miriã Alves Ramos de; http://buscatextual.cnpq.br/buscatextual/visualizacv.do?id=K4761248U7; Reis, Lilian Perdigão Caixêta; http://buscatextual.cnpq.br/buscatextual/visualizacv.do?id=K4702977A4This research titled “From Home to the Street and from the Street to Home: Family and Work Implications and Interactions has as aim to identify how couples with little children organize themselves to conciliate family, marriage life, care with the sons and professional fulfillment. Understanding the abusive drug user's family implies considerations about social situations that transcend family relationships and that directly affect the same context. It has been identified that there are laws, resolutions and regulations that indicate the State's concern to help families who experience suffering due to the use of drugs by a relative, be it brother, husband, father, mother, etc. Faced with subjective inquiries about the roles of the State and the family, the objective of this study was to analyze how family experiences are considered with an abusive user member of drugs by the family itself and by professional social workers and psychologists, direct operators of the devices of the Unified Health System and the Single System of Social Assistance. A non-profit institution, CAFVIDA was created in the period of the research, created to exclusively serve families of users of alcohol and abusive drugs and dependent chemists. The present study is qualitative, descriptive and exploratory in character. All the work was done in the city of Salvador, and sought the natural environment of the workers and residents of this capital. Data collection was done through a semi-structured interview, which was recorded and later transcribed. The results validated the perception of policies that seek to contemplate the families that experience the problem and that they contrast with the representations of the direct service operators. It also revealed the contradictory perception of the family itself about the context that it experiences.Item A experiência de mães de crianças com cardiopatia congênita: o processo de diagnóstico, tratamento e hospitalização(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2009-06-11) Veiga, Isis Nunes; Franco, Anamélia Lins e Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/; Bastos, Ana Cecília de Souza Bittencourt; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Alcântara, Miriã Alves Ramos de; http://lattes.cnpq.brThis study aimed to analyze the experience of mothers of children with congenital heart disease along the diagnostic process, treatment and pre- and post-surgery periods of hospitalization. This topic has been addressed in the literature by phenomenological and psychoanalytic approaches and by models of coping. This study explored the difficulties related to symptoms of illness, hospitalization and changes in the roles played by the mother as a member of the family. Analysis of diagnostic process and treatment, and their impact on the daily lives of mothers was based on concepts proposed by Bronfenbrenner. This is a qualitative research in which fifteen mothers aged twenty-one and thirty-eight years were interviewed. Data collection was performed through semi-structured interviews, guided by open questions addressing issues such as fears related to the disease, changes in family and marriage routines. Analysis was conducted from two perspectives: the contents of the interviews and the concepts proposed by the bioecological model of Human Development. The analysis of the interviews’ contents indicates that the mothers’ daily life undergoes changes due to frequent hospitalizations and the limitations imposed by the disease and its treatment. It was observed that the mother is the closest person to the child during diagnosis, treatment and hospitalization, and is glad to be allowed to monitor and keep watch on her child through these procedures. Most mothers reported positive changes in their marriage, and highlighted the support and care offered by the child’s father. From the point of view of the bioecological model, results showed changes at the four environmental levels in which the mothers participate. The microenvironment of the mother is now composed of relationships with health professionals, and staying in the hospital to take care of her child exemplifies a dyad of observation. The joint activity dyad is affected when the mother is deprived of caring for the child in the ICU, but a strengthening of this dyad may occur through the satisfactory development of the child. Primary dyads were composed of mothers and health care professionals. Mothers give up work in order to care of the child, which evidences mesosystemic interferences. Mothers’ daily life is subjected to hospital rules and routines, in addition to requirements of the treatment, with repercussions on their exosystem. At the macrosystemic level, it was observed that mothers only got acquainted with structural conditions of the Brazilian health system after the diagnosis and treatment of their children.Item Família e cidadania ambiental: uma ponte para o desenvolvimento sustentável(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2013-03-18) Ferreira, Ana Conceição Barbuda Sanches Guimarães; Alcântara, Miriã Alves Ramos de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/; Lima, Isabel Maria Sampaio Oliveira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/; Menezes, José Euclimar Xavier de; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Nobre, Sayonara; http://lattes.cnpq.brThis study sought to develop in the context of discussions about the environment and building a sense of environmental citizenship, calling like conductive strands the family in the formation of environmental awareness through environmental education for sustainable development. This text aims to discuss the family as the agent of development of ecological awareness reference, able to build values that guarantee the preservation of exhaustible natural resources across of the state of degradation. The entitlement to an ecologically balanced environment is a fundamental right as is prescribed in art .225 of the Constitution of Brazil , right for everyone that depends of the State and the community to be effective. The environmental issues led a formation of a new paradigm, whereby changes of thinking and attitude began to view the environment from the perspective of protection . Brought up, then settled into a new ethics pillars for an environmental education which seeks to implement a practice that fosters the harmonious coexistence of human beings with nature. In this way of learning, environmental education is an indispensable tool to build a sense of citizenship, social transformation and in making decisions regarding environmental policy. Sustainability is the hub of environmental issues and the environment, interdisciplinary object. As soon as you promote sustainable development, it will expand the sense of being a citizen. We used qualitative methodological strategy through the procedures of the review of scientific literature and law, as well as raising academic production strict sensu on two subjects: ” National citizenship and Environmental Sustainability” and “Citizenship and Family”. The results from the survey reveal that, in the 1988 Constitution, and against the growing importance of fundamental rights, which increasingly permeate all areas of the legal system, the notion of citizenship is intrinsically related to a new vision of law, ethics and education, calling for a new social consciousness. Family is the space, in the highest degree, for the teaching of acting carefully, that will transmit the full exercise of citizenship environmental, striving for intergenerational solidarity. It follows that we must reflect on environmental issues as a way to build a sustainable society for future generations, without leave to offer to the present breed the right to quality of life. Laws enacted and scientific works produced demonstrate that the fundamental right will not be achieved without being internalized the ethical values which can be built on property with family relationship. In this journey of awareness of the family emerges as the first place of formation of human beings, catalyst of virtues and values, including environmental.Item Família e justiça juvenil restaurativa: regiões norte e nordeste(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2016-12-19) Paixão, Jéssica Silva da; Lima, Isabel Maria Sampaio Oliveira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4133901855237809; Sposato, Karyna Batista; Carvalho, Rosely Cabral de; Carrera, Gilca Oliveira; Alcântara, Miriã Alves Ramos deThe Restorative Justice (RJ) has been consolidating in Brazil as a modern and emancipatory justice project. This study focuses on ways of solving conflicts involving adolescents who commit infractional acts and their families, through the RJ model. In order to analyze the participation of the family in restorative juvenile justice experiences in the North and Northeast regions, a combination of methods was divided into three interdependent phases. The first phase consisted of an exploratory study carried out between August 2015 and June 2016. The theoretical-practical implementation of "Restorative Justice" in Brazil was promoted and the restorative justice projects in the regions surveyed were identified. The questionnaire was applied with social actors involved in restorative justice projects. The questionnaire was applied with social actors involved in restorative justice projects. Twenty-nine experiences were identified in the N and NE, nineteen in the field of childhood and youth, involving Judiciary, Executive Branch, Defenders, Public Ministry, Universities, schools, OAB, NGOs and Reference Centers in Social Assistance. For the most part, the projects include the family through the restorative circles, with psychosocial support and receive guidance on compliance with the socioeducational measure (MSE). Those responsible for adolescents are encouraged to participate in restorative practices from the initial stage of investigation of the infraction until the execution of the SEM. The analysis of the questionnaires evokes the repercussion of the inclusion of the family in the process, besides contributing to the definition of the emblematic experience to be investigated in depth. The chosen project was situated at child and youth court of the municipality of Santarém, in western Pará. This project started in 2012, as a result of the interinstitutional partnership between the Pará State Court of Justice and the Federal University of Western Pará. The experience shows that the participation of the family in restorative circles encourages youth protagonism, the strengthening of family ties and the exercise of citizenship. However, auxiliary strategies of a public nature are still needed to facilitate the access of family members, especially those adolescents with total or partial restraint of freedom, creating adequate spaces for the exercise of care and the generation of affection.Item Família, cuidado e educação de filhos: concepções e práticas de mães inseridas e não inseridas no mercado de trabalho – estudo de casos múltiplos(Universidade Catolica de Salvador, 2014-02-25) Fontoura, Clarissa Santos; Moreira, Lúcia Vaz de Campos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8863706292628331; Alcântara, Miriã Alves Ramos de; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Gomes, Celma Borges; http://lattes.cnpq.brThe inclusion of women in the labor market has had an impact in families and in their childcare practices. This master’s dissertation thus aims to research the concepts and practices of mothers with two- to five-year-old children regarding family, childcare, and child-rearing, comparing the perspectives of mothers who are in the labor market with those who are not. A qualitative method for this study was chosen. Ten middle-class mothers were interviewed; five of whom are in the labor market and five who are not. The mothers were met in a pediatric clinic in Salvador-BA. For data collection, an interview script was constructed with primarily open questions. The researcher invited mothers of children who were treated at the aforementioned clinic to participate in the project, considering the inclusion criteria. The mothers signed the Statement of Informed Consent and were interviewed in locations that were convenient for them. The interviews were recorded and transcribed, and the responses obtained were described and used to construct categories. This study was approved by the Climério de Oliveira Maternity Research Ethics Committee (COM/UFBA). The main results were as follows: mothers viewed family as the basis of everything and the purpose of their lives. Motherhood was considered a positive – albeit complex – duty. The concepts of child-rearing involved mainly guidance/teaching, the establishment of limits and the transmission of values. The study verified an overload of tasks conferred to the mothers, regarding domestic duties as well as those geared towards childcare and child-rearing. However, it can be stated that the mothers in the labor market have a larger support network in their childcare and child-rearing, which includes relatives and non-relatives people. These duties are shared primarily among women. Their families raise their children by establishing limits and transmitting values and guidance. There appears to be a consensus among the members of the two groups that mothers who are not in the labor market have more time to dedicate to their children. It was also evident that the quality of time available, not only the quantity, must be considered. It can be concluded that motherhood is central to the lives of the women interviewed. Although mothers in the labor market are more overloaded, they have a childcare support network and demonstrate personal and professional satisfaction afforded by their work. Mothers outside the labor market recognize the importance of their presence for their children; however, they sometimes feel suffocated by family demands and wish for time to meet their personal and professional needs. Future studies are needed to further research the complexity of the relationship between family and work. Keywords: Motherhood; Family; Child-raising; Childcare. Future studies are needed to further research the complexity of the relationship between family and work.Item Familiar/acompanhante na Unidade de Tratamento Intensivo (UTI): interação com equipe de enfermagem(Universidade Catolica de Salvador, 2014-02-25) Silva, Janelara Bastos de Almeida; Alcântara, Miriã Alves Ramos de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4186283459709800; Silva, Mary Gomes; Rabinovich, Elaine PedreiraThe families / caregivers interrelation and members of the nursing staff has been identified as an important aspect of humanized care. Thus, the study investigates the families / caregivers interact and nursing staff of an intensive care unit, from the perspective of humanized care in the light of the theory of Joyce Travelbee. The research, descriptive and qualitative approach was performed in a intensive care unit of a hospital Public Institution of Santo Antônio de Jesus, Bahia. For data collection a direct observation in the ICU setting, conducting semi-structured interviews and further remark that while the latter was used, 20 being contemplated accompanying family members, 14 nurses and 26 nursing technicians, using the analysis of empirical material Theory Joice Travelbee and content analysis Minayo. The results showed that despite the interconnection that must exist between the companion and family members of the nursing staff regarding the care humanization, is still significantly present the dichotomy of making technical and humanized do exist obstacles that interfere directly in this regard. Thus, it was noted at times difficult to recognize and intact natural situations that made the dialogue the companion familiar with the nursing staff of more harmonics, causing barriers in recognition of the different needs of both. This is due to the identification of some limiting aspects of integration as the insufficient number of professionals in the intensive scenario, multiple shifts and work overload, dealing with the human suffering, the physical structure of technical care ICU, beyond the scientific knowledge of professionals to implement humane actions with accompanying family members. In this sense, from the theory of person-person Travelbee Joyce became evident that nursing care for the human being in full armor of the need to take professional model living and to see his family in his world, considering the social and cultural issues, as is only possible to humanize the ICU itself by humanizing the members who compose it in its entirety.Item Famílias e escola como redes de apoio em contexto de vulnerabilidade social: percepções de adolescentes em distorção idade-série(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2020-09-30) Silva, Lucielma Moreira da; Alcântara, Miriã Alves Ramos de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/; Sá, Sumaia Midlej Pimentel; http://lattes.cnpq.br/; Leal, Teresa Cristina Merhy; http://lattes.cnpq.br/; Santos, José Eduardo Ferreira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/This dissertation aims to describe the perceptions of adolescents in relation to the role of family and school support networks in school performance. It is a qualitative research of a descriptive approach, in which a family sociodemographic questionnaire and a semi-structured interview script composed of open questions were used for data collection, which addressed aspects related to the conceptions about the support network: families and school, the relational networks established in these contexts and their contextual and psychosocial elements considered to be difficult and facilitating by the adolescent participants. Data analysis was carried out through Content Analysis, in the thematic analysis modality, using the research technique proposed by Bardin (2011). To support the interpretation of the thematic categories, the Bioecological Approach to Human Development was used, as well as the theoretical support of authors who discuss the research topic. The study was approved by the Research Ethics Committee of the Catholic University of Salvador and the participants signed an Informed Consent Form, as well as their respective guardians signed the Informed Consent Form. The results obtained revealed that the families and the school are pointed out by the adolescents, as important pillars of support both in individual development and in school life, which encourage them to value their school process, with the perspective of building a future project through of the studies. The data also showed that the female figure is still the one that is most dedicated to care and education. Affection appeared as relevant in the educational process. It is evident the presence of an affective support network formed, mainly by parents and other guardians, grandparents, aunts, uncles and teachers. It was well known that the school was linked to a job guarantee perspective. It was also found that in the context of social vulnerabilities experienced by these young people, the school is seen as a protective and social ascension means. The reports that are presented describe families and the school as networks that promote support and involvement in school performance. For this, it is considered how important are social policies that guarantee the adolescent's permanence in the school environment.Item Hospitalização por acidentes com crianças e contexto familiar: proteção e responsabilidade na família contemporânea(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2009-08-11) Dias, Andrea Machado Teixeira; Franco, Anamélia Lins e Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/; Alcântara, Miriã Alves Ramos de; http://lattes.cnpq.br; Silva, Célia Nunes; http://lattes.cnpq.brThis study intended to deepen knowing the clinical prevalence of accidents with children and knowledge on the children hospitalized for accidents, the familiar conditions related about protection, support and responsibility in families who search attendance in unit of emergency for accidents involving children, in the General Hospital of the State, in the city of Salvador, Bahia. In light of the literature this phenomenon is surrounded by factors of personal, family, social or economic issues that contribute for a mother to give up her son for adoption and is related in this research. The birthmother is the one who abandons leaving or delivering the child to be cared for by others and this research seeks to differentiate abandonment from giving to adoption. We interviewed two generations of birthmothers [forty-three and twenty years of age] who have already left some children between zero and three years [seven and two children respectively] through the interview and looked up motivations and feelings that have approached the abandonment. Therefore, it was necessary to evaluate and describe the daily life of each female figure under different stages of the life cycle. The categories used to analyze the similarities and differences of the two women were: childhood, adolescence/ youth, sexual initiation, maternity, children and relationship with partners, delivering children. What is clear from the study is that this delivery or abandonment reflects the life history of each one, and that the feelings and motivations are complex and can only be analyzed in each case. The study concludes that negligence generates abandonment, which in this perspective, those who did not have a model of secure attachment with their parent or caregiver, will be more prone to abandonment. P. (2016). Women who were mothers when adolescents: trajectories of development in different family contexts. A case study in a popular neighborhood of Salvador. Master Thesis. The superintendence of research and postgraduate program of post-graduation in family in contemporary society. Catholic University of Salvador. Salvador/BA. The experience of having a child represents a rupture in the development of adolescence, a period represented as important in the life of the individual. In this way, implies in a break in their dynamics, challenging concepts and expectations that had been designed about own trajectories. The consequences of this event entail various changes, mainly in relation to the expectations outlined for the future of this young mother, causing uncertainty. This study aimed to characterize the different trajectories of women who became mothers in adolescence, identifying the coping strategies of which they cast hand to deal with critical events that occur along these paths. The theoretical framework, within the cultural Psychology of Development, is based on the concepts of disruptions and transitions, Zittoun, and in the process of construction of meanings (Valsiner), from the experiences made by person along its trajectory. This is a qualitative study of multiple cases, through narratives of life trajectories of six young mothers who had children in adolescence. They come from different family contexts, including in the study: cases of mothers who had children in adolescence and maintained the relationship with the father of the child; mothers who have lost their companions of violent manner, becoming widows and mothers who remained unmarried women. The interviewees, when adolescents, were part of a project developed in 2004 in Nordeste de Amaralina, in Salvador, BA. The analysis considers data collected in two moments (2004 and 2015/2016). For data collection, the tool used were interviews narratives. The analysis, inspired the approach bioecological of Bronfenbrenner and in how Tania Zittoun conceives transitions and ruptures in the course of life, focused on the interdependence between contexts and trajectories of development, seeking to understand how these are characterised, and the singularities of personal movement and the meanings constructed by these women to face of critical events (ruptures) along their transition to motherhood. Questions that guided the discussion of data were: as the trajectory of the adolescent mother emerges from the time of pregnancy? What are the points of reference, the other social, the resources on which they rely to signify the own experience? In what way the fact of having become mothers in adolescence has affected its prospects for the future? In the conclusions, stand out: pregnancy drawing different trajectories, the maternal figure being the primary reference point, to face the critical events they use as resources, the own demands that upload of justice, happiness and truth.
