This monograph have aims to demonstrate which the legal effects that may arise from the recognition of parallel unions in the Brazilian legal system. The study carried out part of the conceptual analysis through doctrines and jurisprudence, of the institutes that preceded it, as marriage, concubinage, stable union and all the family pluralism existing in the present day. It was studied its historical and legislative evolution, in order to understand the paths followed by Family Law to reach the advances achieved. And lastly, some of the judges who have addressed the issue will be examined and therefore have opened precedents in this
important issue for the law.
A presente monografia possui como objetivo demonstrar quais os efeitos jurídicos que poderão advir com o reconhecimento das uniões paralelas frente ao ordenamento jurídico brasileiro. O estudo realizado parte da análise conceitual por meio de doutrinas e jurisprudência, dos institutos que a precederam, como casamento, concubinato, união estável e todo o pluralismo familiar existente nos dias de hoje. Estudou-se sua evolução histórica e legislativa, a fim de se entender os caminhos seguidos pelo Direito de Família para chegar aos avanços conquistados. E por último, serão examinados alguns dos julgados que abordaram o tema e consequentemente, abriram precedentes nesta importante questão para o Direito.
