Objective: To analyze the profile of morbidity and mortality due to breast cancer in women in the state of Bahia, from 2008 to 2017. Methodology: This is a temporal ecological study of quantitative character. It presents as a unit of analysis the state of Bahia and its time frame, the period from 2008 to 2017. The information systems used form: SIH-SUS and SIM with data extracted from the online platform of the SUS Department of Informatics.Results: The highest number of cases of breast cancer diagnosed in the age group of 40 to 59 years (53.7%) and the highest mortality rate in the age group of 60 years or over 51.9 per 100,000 women was observed. The highest number of deaths was observed in women with low education (21.4%), brown (55.5%) and single (34.2%). It was possible to verify the increase in the lethality rate in both age groups. Final considerations: Given the scenario of breast cancer in the state of Bahia, more control and screening actions are needed in women over 40 years in the state, allowing the diagnosis in early stages of cancer in order to reduce the high mortality rate and improve survival of these women.Item Aplicação da teoria do autocuidado na assistência de enfermagem à criança e ao adolescente(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2018-12-12) Santos, Luciana Sandes dos; Nascimento, Davi da Silva; lattes.cnpq.br; Silva, Tamires Lima da; lattes.cnpq.br; Nunes, Amélia Maria Pithon Borges; lattes.cnpq.brThe theory of self-care allows a greater adaptation to the process of coping with the problem and a better quality of life, contributing to the reduction of recurrent hospital admissions and the suffering resulting from it. This theory has applicability in nursing care to the health of the child and the adolescent. Objective: To analyze the scientific literature on the use of Nursing self - care theory in the care of children and adolescents. Methodology: This is a literature review of the integrative type, based on a 20-year temporal cut from 1998 to 2017, published in Portuguese, English and in the LILACS, SciELO, BDENF and MedLine databases. It was used as descriptors : self-care, nursing, child and adolescent. Results: Twelve articles were selected, with 83.3% of articles in the last 10 years. Self - care has been applied by nurses in the care of chronic diseases, infectious diseases, teenage pregnancy, alcohol use and health education. On the other hand the technological advances have favored the development of new therapies with the objective of extending the limits of life. In the beginning, death was consummated in the patients' homes, where the family took full care of this, but with the transition of the health services supply, this care was transferred to the professionals, being relevant the preparation of these for the treatment of terminal patients OBJECTIVE: To analyze the national literature of the last seven years on nursing care for patients in palliative care. METHODOLOGY: Integrative literature review, carried out through a research in the Virtual Health Library (VHL) and developed with the databases MEDLINE, Latin American and Caribbean Literature in health sciences ( And, BDENF. The inclusion criteria were fulltext articles, published between 2010 and 2017. RESULTS: Three categories of analysis emerged: "Feelings of nursing professionals towards the care of the terminal patient" ; "Training and preparation of the nursing team for palliative care" and "Practical aspects of palliative care". 12 articles were selected from a total of 106. CONCLUSION: The research made it possible to broaden the understanding of nursing care to the patient in palliative care. It was perceived that this assistance is permeated by situations involving professionals such as the feelings about this care, the capacity to perform it and the practical aspects that guide it.Item O atendimento de pessoas com doenças crônicas na atenção primária à saúde(Universidade Católica do Salvador, 2018-12-06) Coelho, Jinoelia Couto; Martins, Maísa Mônica Flores; lattes.cnpq.br; Martins, Maísa Mônica Flores; lattes.cnpq.br; Nascimento, Davi da Silva; lattes.cnpq.br; Gomes, Fabiane Soares; lattes.cnpq.brThis study aims to demonstrate the care of people with chronic non-communicable diseases in primary health care, since chronic noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) are the main cause of mortality in the Brazilian population. Objective: To analyze the factors that interfere in the care of people with chronic diseases in primary health care. Methodology: This is a literature review of the integrative type. Results: of the 427 articles found only 14 met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The majority of the studies were published from 2013 and 2015, were the years that presented a greater frequency of publications (21.4%), followed from 2010 to 2017 with 14.2% and the years of 2012 and 2016 were selected only a study for each year, corresponded to a percentage of 7.1%. Final considerations: it is necessary to strengthen the basic levels of health care in the ESF. The nurse in Nuclear Medicine has the responsibilities of planning, organizing, supervising, performing and evaluating all nursing activities in clients submitted to ionizing radiation, based on nursing care methodology. OBJECTIVE: To describe the role of the nursing professional in nuclear medicine permeating the investigation of the relevance of the nurse in nuclear medicine. METHODOLOGY: It is a bibliographical research from the perspective of the qualitative approach. RESULTS: After the survey and the previous reading of the titles and abstracts, of the 30 articles, of these 23 were disregarded for not being directly related to the research theme. Seven articles address the purpose of the research. Objective: To learn about the production of literature regarding nursing care for patients under palliative care in the Intensive Care Unit. Methodology: This is an integrative literature review article using the descriptors: nursing care, palliative care and critical care with a time frame from 2010 to 2019 in English, Portuguese and Spanish. Results: 206 articles were found keeping eight articles as the final sample. The analysis of the studies made it possible to identify that nurses must be qualified and trained to develop activities in the intensive care unit, including pain relief and tube insertion, and especially to assist patients in palliative care, to have good communication between their team and with family members is indispensable. Objective: To analyze the level of knowledge of male students regarding the forms of infection and prevention of HPV at a Philanthropic University, Salvador, and Bahia. Methodology: A quantitative study was carried out through a cross-sectional exploratory and descriptive character, based on data that will be collected through a questionnaire, with male students from the health and engineering areas as the target population. Results: The evaluation of the results showed that there is a great lack of knowledge of the male students about HPV. Conclusion: There is a need for campaigns to encourage men to seek appropriate medical care. Fundamental to consolidating this policy is health education and articulation with the Psychosocial Care Centers (CAPS). In this context, there should be an insertion of the user and his family into the system, facilitating their re-socialization and providing a better quality of life. Objective: To identify the barriers evidenced by primary health care professionals in the recognition of people with mental disorders and in the referral to the Psychosocial Care Centers. Method: Refers to a field research with qualitative approach and descriptive character, aiming to verify the assumptions that generate obstacles in the care of people with mental disorders. Held in a Basic Health Unit, whose model of care is characterized by being a mixed health unit, attending to several health programs, located in the City Center of Salvador, Bahia. Results: Four thematic categories were identified: Stereotyping of the person with mental disorder; The professional's view on Institutionalization; Lack of integrality in the service to the user; Absence of training programs. Unlike adults, the causes of childhood cancer are related to other factors, and early diagnosis is extremely important. When looking at children, the need for specialized care in pediatric oncology is perceived and nurses are directly connected to all phases of this care. Objective: Describe the production of national literature regarding the care provided to children with cancer. Methodology: This is an integrative literature review, consulted in the databases indexed in the Virtual Health Library (VHL), between March and May 2020, in Portuguese, English and French, between 2000 and 2019. It was carried out analysis of 48 studies, and after inclusion and exclusion criteria, a total of six articles remained for the preparation of the study. Results: The data converged on two themes: Directions of care / care for children with cancer and Support to cope with changes in the family life cycle, presenting a series of care applied by nurses in the face of the entire pathological process. It is an invasive procedure of high complexity, with important epidemiological risk, since several diseases can be transmitted by the blood. Despite this, the same, is widely used in many acute and chronic situations and can save lives. Objective: To analyze the national production of the last ten years on nursing care in blood transfusion. Methodology: Narrative review of the literature, whose descriptors are the terms: Nursing care, blood transfusion, hemotherapy service, was performed through the scientific articles published in the Virtual Health Library (VHL). Used as inclusion criteria were the studies available in full, which included the proposed theme, in Portuguese, published in the period 2006-2016. Results: 26 articles were found in the VHL published between 2006 and 2016, of which eleven were excluded for duplicity and two were not part of the purpose of the study in the databases. A total of 13 articles fulfilled the inclusion criteria for analysis. Managing health services in this sector brings a large degree of complexity, which brings Challenges in great proportions. Objective: To know how the management, organization and operation of the Surgical Center is performed, as well as to verify the facilities and difficulties in the dynamics of work and in the provision of services. Method: This is a descriptive field research with a qualitative approach, performed through a script of semi structured interviews. The research was carried out at the Surgical Center of a Philanthropic Hospital, in the city of Salvador-BA, the study population was composed of nurses with at least one year of experience. Results: shows the difficulty of the integration of the multiprofessional team, together with absence of night service, and consequent work overload for daytime service. Objective: To analyze the factors that trigger occupational stress in nurses working in the ICU. Methodology: A literature review was carried out, of an integrative nature. Data collection was performed from 2009 to 2019 from LILACS, SCIELO in addition to the VHL, Intensive Care Unit, Occupational Stress, Nursing. Results: The literary corpus consisted of 12 studies which met the inclusion criteria previously established. The ICU is composed of occupational risks that can act directly or indirectly on the nurses' quality of life and the results of their activities. It is interesting to note that in the ICU, nurses end up adopting a permanent alert posture because of the peculiarities inherent in the service routine of this sector. The preventive measures of occupational stress are carried out in two scopes of the professional and of the organization. Considered as a public health problem, the health of the individual has many consequences. The number of obese children and youth has grown in the world, which is a cause for concern, as it compromises the individual's health and reduces the quality of life.Objective: Analyze through an integrative review the main determinants of childhood obesity in children.Method: Used behind data from the theoretical literature seeking a deeper knowledge about the determinants of childhood obesity in children. Results: The study was carried out in articles published between 2015 to 2019 with national publications of qualitative, cross-sectional, quantitative and epdemiological studies. The harms that childhood overweight can cause are varied and involve nonfatal disorders, although compromising the quality of future life. Objective: To identify in the scientific literature the factors that contribute to the development of childhood obesity. Methodology: Integrative review article, developed through bibliographic search in the electronic databases: Latin American Literature on Health Sciences (LILACS), Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), International Literature on Health Sciences (MEDLINE) and Base Nursing data (BDENF), through access by the Virtual Health Library (VHL), using the keywords: Risk factors; Pediatric Obesity; Nutritional status, the eligibility criteria were articles published from 2009 to 2018, in Portuguese. Results: 19 articles were selected in Portuguese, 31.6% of the articles were published in 2015. The studies show a multifactority in the occurrence of childhood obesity, namely: eating behavior, physical inactivity, socioeconomic factors and the influence of parents. relatives. Final Considerations: Childhood obesity is linked to several aspects. In the study it was observed that children spend most of their day in front of TV / electronics and consuming processed foods, sometimes due to the influence of parents or socioeconomic factors that directly contribute to childhood obesity. Due to its multifactoriness, childhood obesity needs to be managed in a multidisciplinary manner. To occur the process of organ donation the population needs to have clarification and confidence in the professional. The present study makes possible the greater clarification on the process of donation of multiple organs and tissues for transplants, which may be the main factor reducing the number of receptors in a row. Objective: Identify from the evidence in the literature the factors that influence the effectiveness of the donation process of organs and tissues. Method: This article is an integrative review of the literature using the descriptors: tissue donors, brain death and organ transplantation, with a temporal cut considering those published in the Portuguese language. Results: By estimating potential organ donors about 15 to 20% become effective donors. Studies have shown that the shortage of effective donors is related to family refusal and the main reasons for this decision are religious belief, lack of understanding of the diagnosis of brain death, fear of family reaction, inadequate interviewing with this family and others. Having as main strategy of incentive the organ donation the anticipated discussion on the subject with the relatives. Final considerations: The synthesis of the studies showed that the low knowledge of health professionals and of society ends up being the main cause of the low index of organ donations. The person in charge of caring for this individual is responsible for meeting daily needs and when there is no knowledge about the pathology, it causes an overload, thus compromising the health of both, the caregiver and the elderly person with Alzheimer's. Objective: To know the burden of caring practiced by family members / caregivers to an elderly person with Alzheimer through an integrative literature review. Methodology: This is an integrative literature review, qualitative. Methodology: This is an integrative and qualitative literature review. Data collection took place from September to November 2019, in the BVS and SCIELO databases, using the following descriptors: Alzheimer's Disease; Aging; Family. There were found 127 articles, and after applying the predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria, seven articles remained. Results: It was concluded that the care practiced by the family member / caregiver is influenced by age, full time dedicated to the patient and, in addition, extra-home work with extended workload without rest. Conclusion: The elderly person with AD needs the caregiver in his activities daily, whether he is a familiar or an institutionalized one. The division of care in the family is essential to the health of both, making it a benefit to those who are caring and those who are being cared for.
